Nearly six years ago, the entirety of the Justice League was taken over and mind controlled by Vandal Savage and some other associates. We managed to put a stop to that, obviously, but six leaguers had gone missing for over sixteen hours with no clue as to their whereabouts. We only learned earlier this year that Savage had sent them to a corner of space outside the Green Lantern corps sectors. The League rampaged on Rimbor for 16 hours, making them intergalactic criminals. They decided to stand trial to try and rescue both the League and Earth's reputation on that scale.

It was resolved as of about... two months ago now, I guess. Most of the League's heavy hitters were gone for about four months.
