POPULATION: 38 Good morning, Camp Gatonina. The weather continues to be... okay, actually? Sunny skies as far as the eye can see. Not a single stormcloud to be found. Hardly the right environment for this grimm sort of occasion. At 9AM, two hours after the bugle call for breakfast, you will be drawn to the bonfire. Your body will move of its own volition, giving you little to no time to pick up any sort of protection. As you approach the bonfire, you will find that you are not the only one. The Camp Directors and Ogata seem to be marching to the same rhythm as the rest of you, their movements stiff as they approach from the direction of the Isolation Cabin. Once everyone has gathered in the same location, you will hear a voice that is recognized by none. "Haha, that was a trainwreck. Ogata Hyakunosuke, get over here." Ogata will be forced to approach the fire, as everyone else takes several steps back to form something of an impromptu fighting ring around the bonfire. "As for your opponent... Beauregard Lionett, why don't you give us a show?" Similarly to Ogata, Beauregard will be forced to approach the fire. Those in the audience will find themselves rooted to the spot, and the participants of the execution will hit an invisible barrier three feet away from the rest of the group if they try to escape. In her dominant hand, Beauregard will find a 20-sided dice... though one of the sides is now blank. You're all old pros at this. It goes without saying that it's time for the execution to begin.

beau takes the first few steps like she doesn't want to, but - by the end, she leans into it, taking a deep breath. she's already a mess of bruises and wrapped knuckles, but she's ready. when she stops, she reaches up to pull her hair back out of her face, and when she brings her hand down, she looks at the d20 in it.

irony. not that she knows it.

she drops it. it rolls - lands on fourteen. a mace appears in her hand, and she gives it a sort of baffled look. ]

... Really? [ she'll talk to ogata in a second. ]

[he is visibly tense when Beau steps forward, hands curling into white-knuckled fists. but he doesn't say anything. . . he just watches, gaze even and focused, entire body coiled like a spring]

[Ogata looks tired, but for the most part he doesn't seem all that different from how he normally does. Fairly blank. Mostly smug. As if this is just a normal day and nothing unusual is happening.

Or maybe he just truly saw this coming.

That said, he actually staggers a bit at the sudden weight of a fucking mace in his hand. He hefts it up with the uncertainty of someone who has definitely never held a mace before in his life. He looks up at Beau, all casual. He doesn't have any issues with this being his assigned executioner, clearly.]

Lionett. Let me ask you something. You're a fistfighter by nature, aren't you?

she doesn't bother doing a speech or anything - she knows he knows that she's not going to go easy on him. she's pretty sure he wouldn't want her to. ]
