POPULATION: 36 Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina. With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite. It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus. Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats. "So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party." "Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time." "We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck." Well, you know the drill by now. - - - Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games. While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits. Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

Bullet wounds, sure, but we shouldn't disqualify smaller ones either, like if someone got grazed.

A sled? No. There are automated versions called snowmobiles, but the tread left by them is different- ah, imagine something like... a tank track in the center, if you are familiar with those? With the two normal sled bars to the sides. They can be used outside of the snow despite the name, but since we don't seem to have the motorized tread I don't think that's what we're looking at here...

I suppose there's always the possibility that a power was used to enchant an item into moving on its own, but that leaves us with the same problem we have every week regarding abilities.

Hikage was not what you'd call an altruist.

But hey, he could be surprising sometimes.

My guess is that the sled was more used for body transportation after the dead was done than any altercations.

[tonbo will see that it's just a large, flat kind of drag mark! there's nothing super distinctive about it beyond that, no indents or anything like that.

here's the thing. there are in fact two separate trails! the one wei wuxian is looking at seems to be coming from the lake, but it seems to stop at the bonfire itself. and the one stephanie is looking at seems to head south toward the camp store, and as she walks to follow she'll see that it turns toward the lake itself.

granted, they might get distracted because steph's trail starts by the fire, somewhere near ox cabin and winter wizard's cabin, and near that space there's a huge bloody imprint soaking into the ground with a few stray objects nearby.]

For the furniture? Well... You could. You won't be punished for it or anything, but it's still at your own risk. [do you, lili.] I got one for Belph, Natalie and Dazai last week. If anyone else asked for one, sure. We could give them another one of those.
