Guy's story doesn't make sense to me. The path to the cabins might've been shorter cutting through the forest, but. . . navigating through all that brush would've been even harder than taking the long way around.

His boots are covered in lake sand and forest debris, too. I don't think it's that incriminating when he said he stayed by the lake and cut through the forest, but. . .
