POPULATION: 36 Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina. With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite. It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus. Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats. "So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party." "Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time." "We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck." Well, you know the drill by now. - - - Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games. While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits. Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

[Black Shadows and Winter Wizard will both remain at the table by the bulletin board, while Purple Heart lingers nearby. Black Shadows is seated properly as usual, posture straight, hands folded on the table before them. The red bow is still affixed to their hood.]

[Winter Wizard, on the other hand, slowly stirs a straw around an extra large slushie cup. They lift their head whenever someone comes close to them, Black Shadows or Purple Heart, their hand stilling.]

[A stainless steel autopsy table has been wheeled into the Mess Hall, far away from the kitchen and buffet line as to not present a health hazard. A white, plastic sheet has been thrown over what appears to be a humanoid form, obscuring the body beneath. A privacy screen can be found next to the autopsy table.

[Purple Heart waits by the table with the others, quietly watching the proceedings of the trial with their arms folded over their chest. If they're approached, however, they seem to cheer up a bit and nod in greeting.]

[Upon leaving the Mess Hall to investigate, Purple Heart will give one member of the investigation group one of these. The other half of the pair will be left in Black Shadows and Winter Wizard's care, to broadcast the audio to those who will remain in the room. However, it should be noted that this radio may be a bit faulty and information won't always come through clearly!

Hikage was Resisting a Rest. He could stay up during curfew, and he was planning to go out this week. Might be relevant, might not be. It wouldn't shock me if someone picked Hikage because he had next to no friends or some other nebulous reason.

Otherwise, the idea of Hikage dying to save a random acquaintance is so surreal that I might laugh if that turns out to be the case.

You know the drill by now. Sound off, report your claims, back up and confirm the stories of those who you were with, and those who you saw afterwards to help corroborate or disclaim any effects people might or might not have been experiencing. Admittedly, this is going to be a little messier this week just because of that fourth task and how some of us apparently don't seem to be gun shy when there's a voucher on the line.

Evidence wise... well, at least we have a body this time. I personally nominate Dick for this duty, considering he's probably seen the most of people in this camp getting themselves injured by now, but frankly it's not critical who attends to it.

As far as I am aware, at least three different groups found our trace evidence this time. Heading towards the lake, there are apparently drag marks, spaced widely apart. In the forest, there was a purple glowstick stuck up a tree. And the bonfire didn't smell right, whatever that means. The person I spoke to wasn't able to identify whether it was a good or bad smell, just that it wasn't normal. Any of the persons involved are free to come forward and volunteer any other details I may have missed in the retelling if they wish to, but as always, these are our leads for now.
