POPULATION: 36 Good morning, Camp Gatonina. The weather continues to be less than ideal, storm clouds in the horizon as it continues to rain throughout the day. You may want to grab your ponchos and umbrellas, because you should all know the schedule by now. At 9AM, two hours after the bugle call for breakfast, you will be drawn to the bonfire. Your body will move of its own volition, giving you little to no time to pick up any sort of protection. As you approach the bonfire, you will find that you are not the only one. The Camp Directors and Guy seem to be marching to the same rhythm as the rest of you, their movements stiff as they approach from the direction of the Isolation Cabin. Once everyone has gathered in the same location, you will hear a voice that is recognized by none. "Oof, you guys suck at this. Isn't this an all-star cast? Oh, well. Guy Cecil, get over here." Guy will be forced to approach the fire, as everyone else takes several steps back to form something of an impromptu fighting ring around the bonfire. "As for your opponent... Black Shadows, why don't you give us a show?" Similarly to Guy, Black Shadows will be forced to approach the fire. Those in the audience will find themselves rooted to the spot, and the participants of the execution will hit an invisible barrier three feet away from the rest of the group if they try to escape. In their dominant hand, Black Shadows will find a 20-sided dice... though two of the sides are now blank. You're all old pros at this. It goes without saying that it's time for the execution to begin.

[wherever Akira went last night, he is back for the execution, as firm and neutral as ever. though his expression does flicker when Shadows is called into the ring]

[Black Shadows' steps carry them forward toward the fire, their shoulders hunched slightly, posture a little uncertain. When they stop, they look down into their hand at the pink d20; they stare silently at it for a few moments, before resignation settles in and they give a slight nod, letting it roll forward onto the dirt.

It comes up with an 11, and as it disappears, Black Shadows and Guy both find themselves with a metal baseball bat in hand.

They turn to him, then, their tone apologetic.]

...am sorry about this. Will try to make it quick.

[But they appear to be letting him make the first move, the bat held ready in their hands.]

[ just completely, stone silent, unmoving, as black shadows' name is called, too. ]

[ she bumps majima's shoulder with her own. in agreement?? maybe. who knows. it's just a shoulder bump. ]

[are they standing close enough for this? they are now. flayn reaches over and grips the hem of yin yu's sleeve, her expression concerned.]

Of course. Of course it had to be one of the directors.

Guy's chin raises, the grip on his bat shifting in his hands.]

...I'm not going to take this sitting down.

[It's not a sword. Guy's not accustomed to a bludgeoning weapon in the least, and the weight is much lighter in his hands than cold steel. He knows this is going to be a matter of strength.

...

But he still pulls the bat to the side, grounding himself--

-- and launching right at Shadows, feigning right before crouching down to the left and taking a good, hard swing at their legs.]

[Well. He's here, watching with a troubled expression.]

[Some kind of emotion flashes over Chuuya's face when Shadows is called out- concern? Pity? It's hard to tell.

But he's quiet as he watches the execution begin.]

[ even that doesn't get him to move much, the tension in his shoulders too strong.

....but, after the weapon is chosen, the stiff hand at his side where she grips his sleeve opens, just a little. ]

[ wow talk about all the fuck ups in one weekend. ash just looks tired. ]

[she's watching him carefully - so when his hand does open, just the slightest bit, she moves to take it. her grip is light and gentle as she turns her attention toward guy and black shadows in the execution ring.]

[gatonina]

I understand.

[They'd hardly expect him not to fight, after what happened. He isn't guilty-- but even the guilty get a chance, under rules like this. Shadows won't begrudge him that.

When he feigns right, Shadows-- doesn't move to block, actually. It looks like they intend to just take that hit, so when he moves left instead they reflexively try to step away. The bat connects with one of their legs, but they don't flinch or... give any indication it hurts them at all.

They just raise their own weapon in turn, aiming a swing downward; it's intended for his head, but Guy's pretty fast.]
