The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus go round and round…until they suddenly stop. Just as quickly as the bus ride started, the sudden jolt of the bus hitting the brakes may disrupt you from your current activities (whatever those may be.) It’s hard to determine just how long you’ve been on this road trip, but some of you may be able to tell it’s been nearly forty-eight hours. Where could you have possibly been traveling? Worry not, dear travelers! Why, if you’ll wait one moment, the doors of the bus will gently open… …and the floors of the bus will tilt, spitting every single one of you out onto the ground with little warning before the doors slam closed and the bus begins to drive away. As you gather your wits and regain your bearings, the first thing you may notice is the very distinct scent of pine and the lingering scent of rain in the air. Beneath your feet, the words BUP STOP have been spray painted into the dirt and above you a large wooden sign proudly declares that you’ve arrived at your destination. Welcome to CAMP GATONINA. Well-maintained greenery surrounds the area with trees as far as the eye can see, and a dirt path seems to lead straight into camp. Fog looms in the distance, though perhaps that’s from the rainy weather. Come along, don't be shy. You’re welcomed here, after all! As you make your way forward, you’ll soon be greeted with the sound of a bright and almost cheerful voice that seems to be amplified somehow, gathering the attention of all. "Right this way, ladies and gentlemen. Your lovely hosts await!" A cloud of fog parts, and in the center of the path sits a three-tiered platform. Three figures stand on the platform before you, two of whom hold a white basket with depictions of the sun. Despite looking directly at them, it’s hard to make out the features of these three outside of their very unusual outfits. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the camp later, but for now it seems that the figure in the top hat has a megaphone in hand and an announcement to make. "That should be all of you. Let's not waste time, shall we? You'll need these sooner than later, I imagine." The figure with the top hat begins to call out names as the other two figures hold onto the basket, using their free hands to distribute small keys with different wooden keychains shaped like animals. When the final key is distributed, the megaphone is lifted once more as the figure without the basket gestures to the space around you. "Welcome to Camp Gatonina. We look forward to your stay." [ooc: for the sake of your mods, please choose only one NPC to speak to for now! Should we feel confident with our tagload, we may open this up to more tags later, but don't worry! There will be more opportunities to speak with them in the future... Please be sure to read all of the new information provided to you! In addition, please keep in mind that this is not the week zero mingle! A new mingle will go up tomorrow to officially begin the game, so please do not use this post to toplevel regarding the new locations! You may, however, PC to your hearts' content ♥] |

[it's harder to note shifts in their tone, with how distorted their voice is, but they appear to be keeping it calm enough.]
But do not want anyone to be hurt.
no subject
... I know that. But we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all of you, and you've decided to become our leaders. So guide us properly, and ensure your commitment to protection.
If anyone here causes unjust harm to another of their own volition, I'll deal with them myself. But if it's some stupid scheme and you aren't doing everything you can to help us, I won't stand for it.
no subject
[they nod, solemnly.]
But did not bring you here. Just hosting you.
no subject
[she can acknowledge it being even. there's still a tension in her shoulders as she crosses her arms and stares it down]
So what brought us here? Why are you our hosts?
no subject
[they're doing their best to sound apologetic, head bowed a little.]
Will try to send home soon. Hosting because we live here.
no subject
Where do you get your information? How did you know we'd be coming? How do we help to fix this problem?
I don't particularly care for games or busywork.
no subject
[a pause on their end, there.]
What do you care to do?
no subject
[maybe they meant hobbies, lili]
And you?
no subject
[hm. another pause.]
Besides home. Already home. But would like to help. Do the right thing.
no subject
I expect a lot of you then.
Do not disappoint me.
In addition, if I require equipment, must I make the request from you?
no subject
[they seem to be watching her expectantly, faceless as they are.]
no subject
[it'd be a lot of searching for wood and whatnot]
A futon, spare blankets, and a pillow for my cabin - there are one too few beds. A hairbrush for every person who has long hair. Some rope.
[lili, your demands]
no subject
[but in response to the rest of her demands, black shadows just begins to reach into the void of their sleeves. they pause with each item removed to pull something off of it, but they hand over a rolled futon, a spare blanket, a pillow, a short coil of rope...
they pause.]
Don't remember how many with long hair...
no subject
Then I'm going to borrow materials from your bonfire to create a pen until you get that together.
[fair warning
but i'm glad she's just getting all of these items that are probably stacking up tall enough she might not be able to see over them
but she tries]
I'll take three then.
no subject
[three hairbrushes! again, they remove something from the back of each, then they add the brushes to lili's new pile of stuff.]
...acceptable?
no subject
[anyway her curiosity point - ]
What are you removing from it?
no subject
[they shrug slightly!]
no subject
Just trash...?
no subject
no subject
[lili,]
no subject
[they sound so confused.]
no subject
So I'd like to see it.
[whatever the hell,,, it is,,,]
no subject
[the void is, unfortunately, not a pc. there is no recycle bin.]
no subject
Actually, I need another blanket.
Please show me what you're removing before it's gone.
no subject
it doesn't really have the same new-blanket smell as the others, and there is nothing on it to be removed, this time. black shadows just hands it right over.]
