POPULATION: 41 The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus go round and round…until they suddenly stop. Just as quickly as the bus ride started, the sudden jolt of the bus hitting the brakes may disrupt you from your current activities (whatever those may be.) It’s hard to determine just how long you’ve been on this road trip, but some of you may be able to tell it’s been nearly forty-eight hours. Where could you have possibly been traveling? Worry not, dear travelers! Why, if you’ll wait one moment, the doors of the bus will gently open… …and the floors of the bus will tilt, spitting every single one of you out onto the ground with little warning before the doors slam closed and the bus begins to drive away. As you gather your wits and regain your bearings, the first thing you may notice is the very distinct scent of pine and the lingering scent of rain in the air. Beneath your feet, the words BUP STOP have been spray painted into the dirt and above you a large wooden sign proudly declares that you’ve arrived at your destination. Welcome to CAMP GATONINA. Well-maintained greenery surrounds the area with trees as far as the eye can see, and a dirt path seems to lead straight into camp. Fog looms in the distance, though perhaps that’s from the rainy weather. Come along, don't be shy. You’re welcomed here, after all! As you make your way forward, you’ll soon be greeted with the sound of a bright and almost cheerful voice that seems to be amplified somehow, gathering the attention of all. "Right this way, ladies and gentlemen. Your lovely hosts await!" A cloud of fog parts, and in the center of the path sits a three-tiered platform. Three figures stand on the platform before you, two of whom hold a white basket with depictions of the sun. Despite looking directly at them, it’s hard to make out the features of these three outside of their very unusual outfits. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the camp later, but for now it seems that the figure in the top hat has a megaphone in hand and an announcement to make. "That should be all of you. Let's not waste time, shall we? You'll need these sooner than later, I imagine." The figure with the top hat begins to call out names as the other two figures hold onto the basket, using their free hands to distribute small keys with different wooden keychains shaped like animals. When the final key is distributed, the megaphone is lifted once more as the figure without the basket gestures to the space around you. "Welcome to Camp Gatonina. We look forward to your stay." [ooc: for the sake of your mods, please choose only one NPC to speak to for now! Should we feel confident with our tagload, we may open this up to more tags later, but don't worry! There will be more opportunities to speak with them in the future... Please be sure to read all of the new information provided to you! In addition, please keep in mind that this is not the week zero mingle! A new mingle will go up tomorrow to officially begin the game, so please do not use this post to toplevel regarding the new locations! You may, however, PC to your hearts' content ♥]

[ He has None trust for any of them, is this better than a disembodied voice? Who knows, but at least it's easier to walk up to one of them that looks available and start talking, stern and obviously closed-off. ]

Where did everyone else go?

[ The others from the island, etc. It's such an eclectic mix of people, but not a complete group from any one 'game.' ]

[that's fine, purple heart doesn't seem too bothered and in fact gives dimitri a short wave. hello.]

An excellent question. I believe they're right where you left them.

[ He should try to summon some manners, but his brows furrow. ]

So their ships—they are still on their way home? It was just us that were diverted here?

[gatonina]

I believe so, yes. Their ships may have been stopped as well, though they won't realize you're missing. Portals are tricky that way.

[overruns]

[ well... hopefully that means the others are safe, at least. ]

And we're to believe these 'portals' swallowed us at random? If it was truly just random circumstance, you seem very well prepared for us.

[ all their ID cards, their cabins, their belongings... it's too organized, aspects of it much too similar to last time. ]

[gatonina]

I can't force anyone to believe anything, but I've no interest in lying to any of you. We were alerted of your arrival after the incident occurred, and we were able to make preparations that way. Otherwise your stuff would just be floating in space or something.

[overruns]

[ There's no point in asking questions if he's not going to at least be a little receptive about answers. He looks frustrated, but accepts this for now.

Since the others have covered the 'incident' well enough... ]

How long do you suppose we'll be waiting until the situation's been resolved?

[gatonina]

Hopefully not long. I imagine it won't be too much longer than everyone can manage.

[overruns]

I see. [ It's already felt like too long, but what will whining do about it? ] I don't suppose there's anything we can do to facilitate the process? Sitting around on our hands and whiling the time away sounds agonizing right now.

[gatonina]

Of course it sounds agonizing. That's part of why we'll be assigning tasks! It's to provide some structure and productivity for you all while we're working on everything else. And it's a chance to get to know everyone, hm?

[overruns]

[ Having something to kill time would honestly be very helpful to escape his own thoughts, and to prevent some crazy paranoia escalation, but it really depends on what PH has on the docket for them. ]

Oh? What sort of tasks?

[gatonina]

Nothing dangerous. You'll find out tomorrow and they should be rather simple. Just little things to direct your energies toward and make new friends.

[overruns]

[ If that's true, it's unexpectedly innocent. Whether or not he trusts these mysterious figures yet...

Either way, he bows his head slightly in acknowledgment, not entirely warm, but polite in a sort of automatic way. ]

Am I to believe that you are a new friend, then?

[gatonina]

[thank you dimitri, purple heart bows right back.]

I would like to be should you allow it.

[overruns]

[ Well, at least he has manners. ]

I truly hope you mean that. With a group this wounded, most everyone's trust will be hard-won. But they are worth befriending.

[ Please just... don't betray them. ]

[gatonina]

I mean it from the bottom of my heart. [though they keep their head bowed for a moment.] Naturally I understand if you don't trust any of us right away, but we truly do wish to help.

[overruns]

[ It's in Dimitri's nature to trust, but after everything, even his expression seems to falter for a moment. It's not that this trio has done anything to deserve distrust, but he can't fault anyone for being cautious. ]

Then I will hold you to that, Purple Heart. You and the others... I hope I can come to call you comrades.

[gatonina]

[you know what, that's fair.]

We'll do our best not to let you down. We've no intention of bringing harm to you guys or letting you harm each other. And should you need us, you may always call upon us.
