The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus go round and roundโฆuntil they suddenly stop. Just as quickly as the bus ride started, the sudden jolt of the bus hitting the brakes may disrupt you from your current activities (whatever those may be.) Itโs hard to determine just how long youโve been on this road trip, but some of you may be able to tell itโs been nearly forty-eight hours. Where could you have possibly been traveling? Worry not, dear travelers! Why, if youโll wait one moment, the doors of the bus will gently openโฆ โฆand the floors of the bus will tilt, spitting every single one of you out onto the ground with little warning before the doors slam closed and the bus begins to drive away. As you gather your wits and regain your bearings, the first thing you may notice is the very distinct scent of pine and the lingering scent of rain in the air. Beneath your feet, the words BUP STOP have been spray painted into the dirt and above you a large wooden sign proudly declares that youโve arrived at your destination. Welcome to CAMP GATONINA. Well-maintained greenery surrounds the area with trees as far as the eye can see, and a dirt path seems to lead straight into camp. Fog looms in the distance, though perhaps thatโs from the rainy weather. Come along, don't be shy. Youโre welcomed here, after all! As you make your way forward, youโll soon be greeted with the sound of a bright and almost cheerful voice that seems to be amplified somehow, gathering the attention of all. "Right this way, ladies and gentlemen. Your lovely hosts await!" A cloud of fog parts, and in the center of the path sits a three-tiered platform. Three figures stand on the platform before you, two of whom hold a white basket with depictions of the sun. Despite looking directly at them, itโs hard to make out the features of these three outside of their very unusual outfits. Youโll have plenty of time to explore the camp later, but for now it seems that the figure in the top hat has a megaphone in hand and an announcement to make. "That should be all of you. Let's not waste time, shall we? You'll need these sooner than later, I imagine." The figure with the top hat begins to call out names as the other two figures hold onto the basket, using their free hands to distribute small keys with different wooden keychains shaped like animals. When the final key is distributed, the megaphone is lifted once more as the figure without the basket gestures to the space around you. "Welcome to Camp Gatonina. We look forward to your stay." [ooc: for the sake of your mods, please choose only one NPC to speak to for now! Should we feel confident with our tagload, we may open this up to more tags later, but don't worry! There will be more opportunities to speak with them in the future... Please be sure to read all of the new information provided to you! In addition, please keep in mind that this is not the week zero mingle! A new mingle will go up tomorrow to officially begin the game, so please do not use this post to toplevel regarding the new locations! You may, however, PC to your hearts' content ♥] |

Threepio makes a direct, shuffling beeline for Purple Heart. Barely waiting for them to finish whatever other conversation they were having.]
Pardon the interruption, sir. I am C-3PO, Human-Cyborg Relations. Thank you for arranging our transportation and what seems to be a lovely facility. Might there be some way in which I can be of assistance? I'm happy to list my relevant skills and experience.
[He looks at Purple Heart very very expectantly, standing as straight and attentive as he can.]
no subject
A pleasure, C-3PO. What sort of services could you provide? [well. since he's offering.]

senpaiperson-in-position-of-authority noticed me!]Oh, all manner of organizational, social, or operational services, Master Purple Heart! In addition to my programming in etiquette and protocol for accommodating the Galaxy's many cultures, I am also fluent in more than six million forms of communication.
Most recently, I have been so fortunate as to serve as Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan's personal assistant, a role I've been told is quite indispensable. I'm particularly adept at facilitating negotiations and events, if I may so.
[He has all the eagerness and politeness of a wide-eyed university graduate applying for their first job. He's standing rather close, and waits expectantly to be assigned any task at all.]

Oh my, have there already been that many incidents of injuries here? I shall certainly do my best to encourage safe and calm behavior as we await onward transportation.
If I may ask: is the issue with the hyperspace lane a local issue? I'm not specifically programmed for such, but am happy to interface with any systems you may have to support smoother communications while work is being done.
no subject
To be honest, we're not entirely sure what the problem is. One moment you were on your way home and the next an interference occurred. We've been looking into our options.
no subject
Well, hyperlanes can be unpredictable at times, I'm told. Background cosmic radiation, solar winds, plasma storms, and all the like. But I have every confidence you'll have it sorted out in no time. Do let me know if my translation skills are needed with any of your navigational computers or off-world signalling systems.
no subject
We'll absolutely keep that in mind. You're well-traveled, then?
no subject
[he shakes his head tiredly]

[I mean, they seem to be handling it pretty well! There's keys and announcements and clean facilities for this ragtag group that's been thrust upon their home.]

Speaking of, should there ever be any information you'd like brought to anyone or the camp at large, conveying messages is one of my typical duties. You and the other two administrators seem to have your hands quite full, after all.
[a beat and he seems to look around and think]
Is it just the three of you here? It's a rather remote location.
no subject
[but they nod.] It's always been the three of us, but we don't mind. It's just the right size.
no subject
[He looks around]
Or this planet, for that matter.

Is the fog always present, then? I imagine it'd be quite dangerous to venture out into without knowing your way, but surely there are things beyond this camp.
no subject
The fog is ignorable at least. We haven't put much thought into it.
no subject
Deliveries and supplies must come from somewhere, and this facility had been operating some time prior to our arrival, has it not?

no subject
Well, I do hope our time here will be less eventful than the last few weeks have been. [laughs in week 0]
If you'll excuse me, then. I'll take my leave and see to assisting the others.

[sighs in week 0.]
