Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it looks like you'll be here for a little while. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. Finally, though all seems normal at first glance... You will quickly realize something is wrong the moment you start interacting with other people. Or, more specifically, once you come in physical contact with them. For the rest of the week, anyone who makes skin-to-skin (or whatever counts as skin, for the non-humans) contact with someone else will find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. Whatever body parts touched will be stuck together for the next hour, with no way to separate them. Try not to create additional points of contact while trying to cheat your way out of this situation, yeah? That would be unpleasant, for each spot will last an entire hour. Good luck. |

Something simple, then. A bit stuffy, but it's the easiest dance to accomplish with two people.
[LITTLE DOES HE KNOW THEIR HANDS ARE NOW SEALED]
no subject
No, I like things like this. It seems like it would be the most useful kind of dance to learn.
no subject
I don't know about "useful," but it works for right now. Follow me, okay?
[it is WALTZ TIME]
no subject
She follows his lead. She is a little clumsy, but not absurdly! ]
... It's too bad we don't have music.
no subject
It is, isn't it?
[a hum]
Ah, well. We make do with what we have.
[he moves slowly so she can keep up. also he's not expert at waltzes, he just. . . like. knows the basics. also Akira why do you know how to waltz]
no subject
Until she steps on his foot. ]
Oh! Sorry...
no subject
Don't worry; I'm pretty sure that happens to everyone.
no subject
This is harder than you'd think. It's mostly just swaying around, but I don't always know which way we're going to be stepping.
How did you learn? [ yeah Akira. Why DO you know how to waltz? ]
no subject
[because Haru has certainly done the fancy party thing many times beofre, being the daughter of a rich businessman and all]
It took some practice to memorize the pattern, and I'm not nearly as good as she is.
no subject
[ It does not occur to Escha that she does not really have friends, only coworkers? It's fine. ]
That sounds nice.
no subject
You've never danced with friends before?
[also!! stepping back to twirl her]
no subject
[ The twirl startles her. She's still having fun, just... Openly startled. ]
... No, not really. [ points at Escha: haha, no-friends mcworkaholic ] It's pretty fun though!
no subject
It is, isn't it? [another hum!] You should try it with as many people as you want to, just because.
no subject
I guess it would help more people to finish the assignment. [ stop! thinking! about! work! challenge! ]
no subject
Well, yeah. There is that.
[twirling her again!!]
But also it might be fun.
no subject
[ Ahem. Yeah. That too. Definitely. ]
no subject
[at any rate, the dance comes to an end, and Akira steps back to give Escah a gentlemanly bow!!]
Thanks for indulging me. It was my pleasure.
no subject
[ Escha tries to step back too, but uh. Their hands are stuck. ]
...
no subject
[Akira pauses, gaze flickering down to their enjoined hands. he attempts to pull his fingers from hers, but]
[. . . still stuck]
[. . .]
[so the answer is to YANK HARDER, right?? 'cause that's what he's doing]
no subject
Crash? ] Wah!
no subject
Sorry--!
[reaches up to steady her at her shoulder, thank god her shirt is not sleeveless]
Are you okay?
no subject
I'm alright.
Why are you sticky?
no subject
Me? I'm not sticky. . . why are you sticky?
[trying to. . . pull his hand away again, but he frowns when his fingers just seem to cling to hers more tightly. what is going on!!]
no subject
[ Don't be rude! Even if... She said it first. ]
Maybe we should try... Running water over our hands?
no subject
[. . . probably!!!]
You think that'd help?
[more pulling, but the more he realizes it's futile the less he tries, until he's just holding her hand at his side limply]
