Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it looks like you'll be here for a little while. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. Finally, though all seems normal at first glance... You will quickly realize something is wrong the moment you start interacting with other people. Or, more specifically, once you come in physical contact with them. For the rest of the week, anyone who makes skin-to-skin (or whatever counts as skin, for the non-humans) contact with someone else will find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. Whatever body parts touched will be stuck together for the next hour, with no way to separate them. Try not to create additional points of contact while trying to cheat your way out of this situation, yeah? That would be unpleasant, for each spot will last an entire hour. Good luck.

[ giggles a little when he nods, then nyooms. weird, despite the fact that he has longer reach than her, she's not immediately nyooming super far away?

[ he is especially fine with that. but he'll wait until she's far enough, and then runs after her, laughing. ]

[ aaaand now she's spending less energy on outsprinting him- he's got longer legs than her, it's a waste of effort- and instead as he gets closer jinks to the side so as to facilitate her coming to an abrupt stop, spinning on her heel, and nyooming back the way they both came to try to allow him to overshoot her. she probably even ducks under an arm if she can or something, but doesn't go far? it's more like she's trying to weave around him.

dodging practice. sparring! it is like sparring, except there are no weapons. ]

he blinks, before sliding to a stop and turning around to go after her again. this time it's less of a blind run in her direction and that he's actually trying to see where she's going before he picks up speed again. ]

[ sometimes you are the agi tank class of your game while also being meant for close quarters, indoor/urban combat, so you get good at ducking into and around enemy formations while sticking close.

she's well aware that tsuru outranges her, so she's trying to get a feel for his burst speed! she sees what he's doing there, trying to read her direction, buuuut while she slows her pace just a little she angles herself so that she's doing a sort of arc around him. towards the bonfire rather than just running in a straight line away which would normally be the objectively correct thing to do if you realize someone's trying to figure out where you're going.

can't expect the same thing to work twice, after all. ]

[ she's right with that, at least-- close quarters aren't tsuru's specialty. and while he is rather fast, that isn't always enough to make up for every shortcoming.

he wonders if he could cut her off... maybe, but the problem is that it seems like she's quick at changing direction in a moment. he'd have to get her to make a mistake with that, most likely. so he also heads towards the bonfire, while trying to stay aware of what her average pace (that he has seen so far) seems to be. ]

[ oh cool, it's parkour time now that they have obstacles to work around. but yes, here we have it- tsuru's faster than her at a sprint and has more reach overall, but she's quicker in short bursts and maneuverability!

do we wanna handwave and say that they spend a decent amount of time nyooming around the campsite and parkouring until eventually he manages to snag her as he predicts a turn or something like that because i'm scared of captcha francy and we need to have them actually talk. ]
