Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it looks like you'll be here for a little while. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. Finally, though all seems normal at first glance... You will quickly realize something is wrong the moment you start interacting with other people. Or, more specifically, once you come in physical contact with them. For the rest of the week, anyone who makes skin-to-skin (or whatever counts as skin, for the non-humans) contact with someone else will find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. Whatever body parts touched will be stuck together for the next hour, with no way to separate them. Try not to create additional points of contact while trying to cheat your way out of this situation, yeah? That would be unpleasant, for each spot will last an entire hour. Good luck. |

With the night around them and the fire crackling peaceably, it feels like as good an opportunity to get to know each other better as any. ]
It's always nice to have someone expecting your company. Would you mind telling me a little more about them?
[ For the task or just to pass the time, whatevs. ]

Anyway. He brightens up! It hasn't been that long since Okita himself got to see Kashuu through the mirror, but he didn't have much chance to talk about him to anyone else, considering he was, y'know. Pretty darn dead for most of the game.]
My partner is Kashuu Kiyomitsu! We were both Okita Souji's beloved swords. Kiyomitsu was the first sword our master--ah, that's the saniwa, now--ever brought to the Citadel. So he's been waiting for me for a long time, even though he gets embarrassed about saying it.
[UNLIKE YASUSADA who has no filter for his feelings ever]

It's always nice to hear about people talk about the people and places close to them—Dimitri doesn't recognize any of the names, but he can empathize with the sort of energy behind Yasusada's words. ]
That sounds like quite the incredible bond.
[ That said— ]
But... did you say you are a sword? [ ?????? ]

There's a few of us here. We're the spirits of swords, but our master gave us human bodies, so that we can protect history.

I admit I'm not sure I entirely understand how that's possible, but, how fascinating... So you—do you have a sword's memory? Can you— [ how does he even phrase this ] are you able to turn into a sword?
no subject
Hmm, I haven't really tried to de-manifest... but I don't think it would work here. [Since his CONNECTION IS NERFED AGAIN this keeps happening and he hates it. But he has his sword with him, and he removes it from his waist to hold it up.] But this is me!
[Normally he'd have, like, a smidgen of caution telling people about this, but they're all pretty much in agreement that this has nothing to do with the Retrograde Army or the war, so whatever. As for the other question--]
Some of us have lost our memories, but I still have all of mine.

So a sword can carry the memories of battle with it...
[ It's not really something he dwells on though, instead looking a bit sheepish. ]
This... may not be proper to ask, but could I see it? Your sword—um. You, I mean.

Just be careful. I'll die if I break.
no subject
I'll be cautious.
[ And when he unsheathes the blade, he does it only partway with exceeding care, the light of the fire catching across the laminated metal. It's a sword unlike any he's ever seen, but the craftsmanship is obvious. He admires it a moment and speaks with a sort of awe in his tone— ] You are a marvel. [ —before carefully clicking the blade back into place, as though it might snap if he handles it even a second too long. ]
Thank you—I hadn't expected to see fine steel in a place like this.

He scratches the back of his neck at the compliments, unused to them; he's not an easy sword to wield, nor is he any kind of imperial treasure. Kashuu would be preening; Yasusada, too, smiles, though he looks sheepish.]
Ah, it's nothing special... you should see Mikazuki Munechika! He's a weird old man, but he isn't one of the Five Great Swords for nothing.
[Sincere praise is one of the few things that can embarrass Yasusada, mostly because he doesn't know what to do with it; he rubs his face, but that only serves to make his cheek redder. Good job yams.
AWKWARD SUBJECT CHANGE TIME because he's flustered now!!]
We're supposed to talk about what we miss, aren't we? [As much as I joke about it, Yasusada can actually read, so.] My answer is Okita-kun and Kiyomitsu, so... what about you? What's your home like?
