Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it looks like you'll be here for a little while.

Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week.

If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies.

Finally, though all seems normal at first glance... You will quickly realize something is wrong the moment you start interacting with other people. Or, more specifically, once you come in physical contact with them.

For the rest of the week, anyone who makes skin-to-skin (or whatever counts as skin, for the non-humans) contact with someone else will find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. Whatever body parts touched will be stuck together for the next hour, with no way to separate them. Try not to create additional points of contact while trying to cheat your way out of this situation, yeah? That would be unpleasant, for each spot will last an entire hour. Good luck.

These tasks are not difficult! I think we will all be able to complete them if we put in a little bit of effort.

I...see. [...THIS WON'T COUNT FOR A TASK BECAUSE IT'S LATE, BUT THIS IS HOW THE THREAD WOULD GO SO.] You're right though, they don't seem that difficult. We could even knock out the second one because I have no idea what the church of Seiros is and I kind of want to know.

I suppose you would not have heard of it, if you have never been acquainted with anyone from Fódlan. What in particular do you wish to know?

Never heard of Fódlan either, so that makes sense. I guess I just want to know why a church has professors and classes.

As the Church of Seiros is neutral ground, the monastery is home to the Officers Academy. Students come from each of the three countries to be instructed. Many of them go on to become knights within their homeland!

So it's like...a training grounds for people fighting wars and protecting their countries? [This makes sense.]

Something to that effect, yes.

...so what're you trained in? [It must be something.]

My specialty is in healing magic.

Definitely useful out in battle...I've got a few friends who're trained to do the same. How long have you been training?

I have been practicing magic for as long as I can remember. It is only recently that I was allowed to join my class at the academy, however.

Makes sense. We have some pretty young kids at Camp but most of us don't get to start attending until our powers show up...usually around ten or eleven. Sometimes later. [Sometimes earlier, if you're Annabeth.] And the rest of your class are what, fighters?

Some are magicians, and some have a talent for physical combat. All of them will probably go on to become important figures within the Empire once their training is complete...

Makes enough sense. Our camp's like that, too, but we don't have an Empire or anything. [Also so many of them die young but let's not go there.] Kind of nice to know other places have something similar.

It is. It sounds as though there are many different types of worlds out there - but it is fascinating to be able to identify similarities between them.

Sort of makes you wonder if they brought us here on purpose because of that or just because of where we were before this. Like why us and not our other friends. But I doubt we'd get an answer.
