Good morning, Camp Gatonina. The weather continues to be... not good. Gray skies, an abundance of fog, and rain that shows no sign of letting up any time soon. It's hardly the kind of weather you would want to go out in without an umbrella or poncho — but it seems like you have no choice in the matter. At 9AM, two hours after the bugle call for breakfast, you will be drawn to the bonfire. Your body will move of its own volition, giving you little to no time to pick up any sort of protection. As you approach the bonfire, you will find that you are not the only one. The Camp Directors and Evan seem to be marching to the same rhythm as the rest of you, their movements stiff as they approach from the direction of the Isolation Cabin. Once everyone has gathered in the same location, you will hear a voice that is recognized by none. As they speak, you will instinctively become aware that there has been another update to the travel guide. How shocking. Your travel guide will be on your person, and you will be allowed to read it. "We won't ask you to kill, was it? Boo-hoo, go cry me a river. Evan Hansen, get over here." Evan will be forced to approach the fire, as everyone else takes several steps back to form something of an impromptu fighting ring around the bonfire. "As for your opponent..." the voice says, tone sing-songy as they continue. "Eeney meeney miney moe, Winter Wizard give us a show." Similarly to Evan, Winter Wizard will be forced to approach the fire. Those in the audience will find themselves rooted to the spot, and the participants of the execution will hit an invisible barrier three feet away from the rest of the group if they try to escape. In their dominant hand, Winter Wizard will find a 20-sided dice. You're all old pros at this. It goes without saying that it's time for the execution to begin. |

Anyways, he just stares at the makeshift weapon in his hand and back to Winter. He doesn't make a move to throw it, but he can't really back up any further either, with his back to the barrier. The words start rushing out almost immediately.]
Don't. This isn't... I'm, I'm not going to hurt you, so please don't—
no subject
they stare at the rock in their hand for a long, long moment. almost as if they can't believe this is happening, before their head snaps up at the sound of evan's voice. immediately, they start to shake their head furiously.]
No... No! Don't say that-- You can't say that! You have to fight me. Please. If you don't, then...
[they glance over to where purple heart and black shadows are hitting the barrier, and tighten their grip on the rock.]
Please. Fight me.

[He's about to say he can't, but he sees that glance, that trailed off sentence, and interprets it as something even worse happening if he absolutely refuses. He still looks incredibly hesitant, his breath coming too quickly, but he takes a few steps away from the barrier. He still doesn't make a move beyond that, though, tensing up.]

evan takes a few steps away from the barrier, and winter wizard follows. they seem unsteady on their feet, high heels wobbling as they approach him... but, eventually, they come to stand right in front of him.
they stay silent for a beat, shoulders tense.]
I'm... really sorry about this. Please, fight back.
[and that is all the warning evan gets before they heft the rock up, and take a swing at him.]
no subject
He brings his arms up to shield his face and head instinctively, and he tries to dodge. He's not too fast or athletic, though, so all this means is that the rock collides with his shoulder instead of his head. He staggers back for a moment as he makes a noise of distress at the shooting pain, before he comes forward to... try to pull the rock out of their hands.]
Winter, please, I-I...
[There's no point in any request for mercy. He knows, somewhere, that they don't have a choice either. Even so...]
no subject
We... We have to. Please. [a deep breath.] Don't make me kill you while you just stand there. Pick up your rock and fight me!
[with that, they swipe their leg at him to try and get him to back off, and do as they say. they really don't have a choice here, but even so...]
no subject
I can't. Please, you, you can't ask me to do that, I - can't.
[He takes another step back, shaking his head quickly.]
no subject
...]
Okay.
[very, very quietly. they sound pained.]
I know it doesn't mean anything, but for what it's worth, I... wish things had been different.
[sorry, evan. without any warning, they will run at him to take a swing at his head, putting as much force as they can behind it.]
no subject
There's a moment where he tries to get up, but it's not successful even before he loses consciousness a few seconds later.]
no subject
he's still alive. they could drag this out. allow him to regain consciousness, and then... what? the barrier won't disappear until one of them is dead. this is cruel enough as it is. breathing labored, they seem to come to a decision. they reach for him, gently pressing a hand against his forehead without a bit of care for all the blood they are getting on their glove...
and then they lean over to press their lips against the back of their hand. an indirect kiss, if you would. they linger for a moment, before pulling back and reaching for the rock once again.
they visibly hesitate, but the moment passes quickly enough-- and then they are bashing the rock into evan's face, over and over again with as much strength as they can to get this over with.
it is messy and horrible and there is blood everywhere now, but it is what it is.]
no subject
Unsurprisingly, before long, Evan Hansen is dead.]
1/2
...help me out here. [and with that they turn to move, picking up winter wizard to pull them away from evan's lifeless body and letting the rock fall back to the ground.]
2/2
it's only once they and the other directors have gone that everyone will find themselves able to move again, and the bunnies will be available in the directors' office should anyone seek them out.]
