Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Purple Heart manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Winter Wizard will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Black Shadows doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, at the start of this week everyone will wake up with a tattoo of a star on the back of their hands. Though you will be unaware of its purpose at first, it will quickly become apparent the moment you say the words "I wish" out loud. It's a wish granting star! Or, well, sort of. Regardless of what you wish for, the result of the wish is always material, small, and never actually useful for what the character actually desires. They cannot cause effects or change anything, nor will it result in a weapon or items that can be used to solve a murder. For example, wishing for an exit will result in an Emergency Exit sign materializing in your hands. You will all get three wishes each. The star will become fainter with each wish, until disappearing once they make their third wish. All items gained through this effect will disappear once Week 2 officially begins. Good luck. |
task ii except it's useless because he knows computers
[reaching out to touch her shoulder]
Hey.
[hey]
I appreciate you.

looks at the hand on her shoulder again. ]
... Did you get cursed again.
[ already? ]
no subject
[GOD!!]
This is my real appreciation, I swear.

[pats her shoulder]
[again]
I haven't been cursed a second time. Promise.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure you already know how to use a computer, even if it's one of these ancient things, and while I'd try to teach you how to spoof your way through various forms of electronic authentication I don't think there's any real way to actually do that here.
[ pause, a glance over at the technical manuals. ]
Though...
no subject
What are you scheming?
[lightly amused]

I was just thinking how it would have been much better timed if I'd gotten injured this week instead of the last one.
no subject
Hindsight is 20/20, isn't it?
no subject
Think it'll count if I teach you something only in theory?
no subject
[shrugs!!]
There has to be something else you can teach me.

[ she's a navigator and electronics expert with nothing to navigate. rip.
and will probably need help to remember if she has any other relevant skills tbh. ]

I want to learn how to hijack a car. . .
no subject
[ like
how likely is it that they'll magic up a car to hotwire ]
no subject
What are the chances they actually conjure up a car for us out of hammerspace?
no subject
[ blue's mansion is tech challenged, the stars aren't like earth's so she can't teach celestial navigation, hm... ]
All right, let's try looking at this from a different angle. What would you expect an automaton from 50 years in the future to know that you'd want to learn.

[hm. as for her question. . .?]
How tooooooo. . . [A BEAT] Build. . . a bomb?
[Akira]
no subject
[ hm, ]
no subject
[okay, Akira]
It sounds like a good time.
no subject
[ anyway, ]
no subject
You aren't that responsible, are you?
no subject
no subject
[playful!]
I wonder if we could build bombs from materials we find in the mansion?
