Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Purple Heart manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Winter Wizard will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Black Shadows doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, at the start of this week everyone will wake up with a tattoo of a star on the back of their hands. Though you will be unaware of its purpose at first, it will quickly become apparent the moment you say the words "I wish" out loud. It's a wish granting star! Or, well, sort of. Regardless of what you wish for, the result of the wish is always material, small, and never actually useful for what the character actually desires. They cannot cause effects or change anything, nor will it result in a weapon or items that can be used to solve a murder. For example, wishing for an exit will result in an Emergency Exit sign materializing in your hands. You will all get three wishes each. The star will become fainter with each wish, until disappearing once they make their third wish. All items gained through this effect will disappear once Week 2 officially begins. Good luck. |

Carnelia's a classic. About a guy who gets wrapped up in something over his head and meets a strange priestess -- there's some mystery in there, good action too. Red Moon Rose is about vampires? Or something? I don't remember it as well as Carnelia, if that's an endorsement for ya.

He just nods along after that, though!]
I do like a good mystery. -Haha, well, most of the time. [HE DOESN'T LIKE MURDER MYSTERIES ANYMORE ACTUALLY, HE WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE.] Wonderful, then! I'll see how it is.
[At which point he just kind of. Flops over so he's lying across some of the chairs at this table so he can start to read. Ash has a table buddy now.]
no subject
well, while weewoo sprawls his famous ass all over the chairs and gets to reading, ash goes back to his own books - ones with earmarks and not, looking pretty content all things considered. ]
no subject
Like a half-hour into his read, a hand reaches up from where he's sprawled and slaps a pack of cookies onto the table, pushing them Ash's way. Then there are plastic opening and crunching sounds after the hand retracts... Apparently he is sharing his snackies.]
no subject
...
[ ash looks at the pack of cookies. the last time he’d been offered snacks, phoenix was pulling pudding out of weird places. ]
Where’d you find those?
no subject
He peeks up over the edge of the table...]
In the kitchen pantry. They're very good! Had some with tea the other day.
no subject
Given all the food they have in the kitchen, I'm not sure why they bother with the meal times.
no subject
Hah, probably for the people who can't cook well on their own. Someone here burnt toast on the bus.
no subject
Yeah. I know.
[ phoenix.... ]
You could just make sandwiches. It’s not difficult.
no subject
Mm, it's not, that's true! You know, that Asch, he complimented your peanut butter one the other day.
[Well. The sentiment was more like "wow can't believe that rocks for brain guy came up with something this good", but he'll just leave that out.]
no subject
I don't want him complimenting anything of mine, honestly.
