POPULATION: 39 Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Purple Heart manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Winter Wizard will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Black Shadows doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, at the start of this week everyone will wake up with a tattoo of a star on the back of their hands. Though you will be unaware of its purpose at first, it will quickly become apparent the moment you say the words "I wish" out loud. It's a wish granting star! Or, well, sort of. Regardless of what you wish for, the result of the wish is always material, small, and never actually useful for what the character actually desires. They cannot cause effects or change anything, nor will it result in a weapon or items that can be used to solve a murder. For example, wishing for an exit will result in an Emergency Exit sign materializing in your hands. You will all get three wishes each. The star will become fainter with each wish, until disappearing once they make their third wish. All items gained through this effect will disappear once Week 2 officially begins. Good luck.

It means don't worry, I won't be getting the wrong idea.

[she doesn't even want to entertain it - but she will, unfortunately walk first. because she's at least used to being escorted around if nothing else]

Anyway, you were saying something about not getting to go outside much? Were you locked up somewhere?

[ he's still pretty sure that was an insult about his attitude or appearance, which irrationally rankles him, despite the fact that he knows the first is bad and the latter isn't even his, but whatever, he'll let it go - the question she asked is a little more important. ]

I was dead. [ information he's willing to share, but which he's never thrilled about. ] I existed in the space between the world of the living and oblivion. I'm still dead now, although they've given me a convincing body.

... I don't know.

[ he'll be honest. ]

When this ends, I'll find out if I'm truly "alive." Dreams feel real while you're in them, but they're still just dreams when you wake up.

[ . . . hm. she tilts her head.]

For what it's worth, I think that life can stand to be way better than this one - this whole situation is horrible.

[but she'll extend her hand out past the umbrella, letting the raindrops hit her hand]

But if you don't think of this as real, maybe your life will pass you by anyway.

[psychedelica]

Spare me your wisdom. This face is young, but I'm a lot older than you. [ a sigh. ] Besides, I already "lived" this once before, remember? I'm just being rational.

[ he doesn't want to get his hopes up too high again. He's still reeling from having them crushed after escaping the castle. ]

If you spent a lot of time inside, we probably have the same levels of life experience?

[she's just going to say that.]

I'm just saying distrusting everything every second stops being productive after a while.
