Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations.

Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week.

If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Purple Heart manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Winter Wizard will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Black Shadows doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies.

As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally.

To further complicate matter, at the start of this week everyone will wake up with a tattoo of a star on the back of their hands. Though you will be unaware of its purpose at first, it will quickly become apparent the moment you say the words "I wish" out loud. It's a wish granting star! Or, well, sort of. Regardless of what you wish for, the result of the wish is always material, small, and never actually useful for what the character actually desires. They cannot cause effects or change anything, nor will it result in a weapon or items that can be used to solve a murder. For example, wishing for an exit will result in an Emergency Exit sign materializing in your hands.

You will all get three wishes each. The star will become fainter with each wish, until disappearing once they make their third wish. All items gained through this effect will disappear once Week 2 officially begins. Good luck.

[Her voice softens slightly.]

...You probably miss it, huh?

...yeah, I do. [He can admit that much.] It's been a really, really long time since I've seen much from home. I'm sort of glad I got the chance to leave my mom a voicemail before we left for Greece but I don't think she was expecting me to be gone this long.

...It won't be much longer. I can still give her your letter when we show up.
hydrogenetic: (Cannot seem to find my way home tonight)

Thanks, Natalie. Depending on how this goes I...might need to rewrite it anyway.

...What do you mean?
hydrogenetic: ('Cause I'm still breathing on my own)

[personal profile] hydrogenetic 2020-06-25 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just being realistic. We don't know how this game's going to go yet, so...I want to be prepared.

Prepared for what, exactly?

[personal profile] hydrogenetic 2020-06-28 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
The possibility of not surviving, maybe?

—Stop. That isn't going to happen.

[He sort of just rolls his eyes.]

Alright, I know, I know. We'll be fine.

Don't... make that face. I'm not letting anything happen to you.
hydrogenetic: (Quiet and confident)

I know. [It's all he says, but even so...well. He doesn't say the sentiment is the same because he's sure she knows. But that's depressing, so he changes the subject.]

Since I'm not gonna get any answers from these guys, wanna go for a walk? May as well check out the camp some more.

[personal profile] successives 2020-07-03 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure. Any particular place you want to check out?
hydrogenetic: (what we gonna do y'all?)

[personal profile] hydrogenetic 2020-07-11 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking around the cabins and maybe the woods? See what's out there.
