Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Winter Wizard manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Black Shadows will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Purple Heart doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, you will quickly discover that something about you has changed. At the start of the week, every single one of you will find yourselves aligned with one of four elements: fire, water, air or earth. Though your affiliation will not allow you to perform any outright elemental manipulation, you will find yourself reflecting your affiliation through one physical attribute. For example: A fire aligned may become hot to the touch, an earth aligned might discover their skin is now coarse like sandpaper, an air aligned might find their hair constantly flowing in an unfelt breeze, and a water aligned might be................. very sweaty. Whatever the case, this effect will fade away once Week 3 officially begins. |

Standing up sounded like a horrible idea. I was just gonna let the duck eat my shirt.

[He'll go over and stand so he's leaning against the fence Beau is sitting against.]
Who decided ducks were cute enough for a petting zoo anyway?
no subject
I don't know, the same person that decided to put tigers in with the elephants, I guess. [ she sinks down against the wall. ]
no subject
[RIP elephant. Chuuya keeps standing though.]
If you need an escape outta here, I can help you.
no subject
[ she sounds so annoyed. also don't make the obvious joke there. do not. ]
no subject
[He got drowned in kittens earlier. And he'll avoid making the obvious joke for now, since Beau looks tired. He'll say it another day.]
Their claws are surprisingly sharp and hurt like hell.
no subject
I'll feed them first. Death by kittens isn't such a bad way to go, anyway.

[He holds up one of his arms to show her. In addition to a couple older bruises, there's a ton of kitten scratch marks.]
no subject
I'm already fucked up, what's like, seven or eighty more claw marks?
no subject
But no really, they just loved him too much.]
Dump some cat treats on you then, I guess. They'll run right over to you.

[He'll go get her some cat treats, but he's also grabbing a cute tabby kitten to bring with him too. Both get handed to her.]
no subject
See, not so bad. You just don't like Chuuya, huh. [ she murmurs to the kitten. ]
no subject
[Kitten seems to be happy at being with Beau anyway. Chuuya will go ahead and sit down next to her now.]
I've never been good with animals anyway, so it's fine. I think Missile was the first animal to actually like me.
no subject
I'm not sure Missile knew how to dislike anybody. [ beau says, amused. ] I had a pet owl once. He hated me.

Flew away. Whatever.

[He snickers, but a moment later he ends up opening up a bit.]
We never had any pets. All that was in the slums were a bunch of feral cats and dogs and stuff. We let them roam around the warehouse and eat the mice, but they never came close to us. Too skittish, probably. Plus the smaller kids were always rowdy.
no subject
The slums, huh. [ she just tucks that away for later. ] You could adopt one of the animals here, probably.
