POPULATION: 37 Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Winter Wizard manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Black Shadows will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Purple Heart doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, you will quickly discover that something about you has changed. At the start of the week, every single one of you will find yourselves aligned with one of four elements: fire, water, air or earth. Though your affiliation will not allow you to perform any outright elemental manipulation, you will find yourself reflecting your affiliation through one physical attribute. For example: A fire aligned may become hot to the touch, an earth aligned might discover their skin is now coarse like sandpaper, an air aligned might find their hair constantly flowing in an unfelt breeze, and a water aligned might be................. very sweaty. Whatever the case, this effect will fade away once Week 3 officially begins.

[Time to go down by the gardens! There's gazebos there, they can sit there for a bit. And flowers look nice, right? That's got to be relaxing.]

[Akira did like the gardens back at the mansion so. . .! he does visibly relax when they get there, a small breath escaping him unbidden]

. . . this place makes me think of Pumpkin. You know?

Yeah? Did she like the garden back at the house?

[He's found some pretty blue flowers that he's inspecting right now.]

Man, I don't think I've ever seen flowers this blue before.

She was the groundskeeper, remember? Taking care of the garden was her thing.

[he tried to give Pumpkin a flower and she LITERALLY TURNED HIM DOWN]

They're beautiful, aren't they?

Oh right, she was.

[He talked to Peach more than Pumpkin, honestly.]

Sanji said all flowers have meanings. I don't know what any of them mean, but yeah, they're pretty.

[hmmm. . . Akira reaches out to touch those flowers, fingers gently grazing the petals]

These are forget-me-nots. They can symbolize true love, or faithful love, or a request from the giver for the receiver not to forget them.

Why do they have so many meanings? The intention might get mixed up if you give them to someone.

The context helps a lot, too. If I gave you a forget-me-not, you wouldn't assume it means "true love," would you?

I don't know what 'love' is like, so probably not.

Hey. Don't take this the wrong way, because I mean it platonically.

[ngl he kind of expected that answer, but.]

That literally explains nothing to me, you know.

It's not-- it's not something that can really be explained. . .

Then it's no big deal, because I don't know it. You can't miss something you don't understand, right?

[And yet something in his chest aches as he says it.

Suddenly he's pulling away from Akira to go look at some of the other flowers. Sunflowers look nice, he'll go inspect those! And it's not at all because he's trying to avoid something that's making him feel inadequate, nope.]
