You know how the story goes by now. One minute you’re somewhere familiar, and the next you’re suddenly somewhere else. Unlike previous times before, the source of your rude awakening isn’t a mystery. A harsh jostle causes your body to lunge forward as a tire jumps over a pot hole in the road. Try as you might, it’s hard to ignore the steady thrumming of an engine and the gentle sway beneath you. The faint scent of gasoline seems to waft from the outside, but as you look around you’ll notice that the windows are locked, tinted, and impossible to see through. Likewise, the door ahead of you appears to be locked as well. Perhaps the scent is your imagination…? Regardless, though the lighting is a tad dim, it becomes apparent that you’re inside a large bus dotted with the occasional seat and amid a jumble of other bodies. The people you were last with may be among your fellow passengers. Perhaps they are not. But worry not; there’s plenty of time to look around and get to know one another on this long, strange trip. It may even be wise to examine the staircase at the other end of the bus. Who knows what awaits you on the other floors? Ah, but before you move too far it may be best to assess the situation. On the bright side, any injuries you incurred have been healed! Isn't it nice to have your limbs in place again? Miracles happen. But...what happened to your clothes? You’re fairly certain you weren't wearing this t-shirt before...and what's with the denim shorts? Maybe you were fortunate enough to get the knee-length version, but for those of you waking up in bootyshorts...well, we're sure you look great! And what better way to tie the whole look together than white socks and tan sandals? At least you'll be comfortable for the ride. Lucky for you, your new threads aren't the only gift you'll receive upon waking up. Attached to your waist is a high-quality bag filled with some fun goodies for every passenger! For those of you who unzip your bag to check its contents, you will find: -Dry shampoo No other items are on your person at this time, even if you were holding onto it as you began your previous departure. That's a bit troublesome, isn't it? Not really; it's still a bus. Be grateful for the extra elbow room, alright? Oh, and one last thing...on the wrist of every passenger is a small, equally fashionable white scrunchie. Not your style? Perhaps it's a good idea to give the travel guide another read. Searching the bus from top to bottom will net zero results in the way of an escape. All of the windows are similarly tinted and locked, and the only exit door appears to be the one on the first level that can't be opened at this time. But hey. You're all old pros at this, right? You know what to do next! Get to know the people around you, trade stories with your fellow passengers, and...well. Buckle up for the bumpy ride ahead. |

later
but she looks genuinely confused]
How do you already look like hell spat you out? We just got here.
no subject
and...you know, she has a point but there are so many different ways to go about it and he just. well, if she's worried about being on the receiving end of this— ]
Nothing that you should be concerned with.
no subject
Personal grudge? Someone you murdered where you were at before saw a chance to take a swing at you?
[she at least sounds
semi-pitying]
I guess if you deserved it....
no subject
I didn't murder her.
[ not directly. ]
...but I did cause her a lot of trouble.
no subject
but she'll shrug then, but at least whatever happened here was like. a beating and not a murder, so.]
Then I hope you apologized.
no subject
there's still other person that he needs to deal with and who knows if he'll survive that. and even though this is a bit telling...he... well, a little clarity isn't bad. ]
It's not something you can simply apologize for.
no subject
That bad, huh....
[this is lili's version of "that's rough, buddy"]
I don't particularly care to ask about all your problems if you don't want to say - but I just want to know if you're a dangerous person who might harm others here without prompting.
[since that's? the image she's getting of what he must've gotten beaten up for? it has to be some kind of nasty betrayal or lying if it wasn't outright murder? they did break shirasu's leg in trial once]
no subject
...at least in terms of bluntness. ]
Not without prompting.
[ though currently he does not look dangerous at all with his "dad" getup and pony-tail held up together by the bunny scrunchie. ]
no subject
that said, she's going to keep on keeping on if no one stops her - and maybe even if someone stops her. lili's never been great a holding back, but that at least gets her too pause.]
What was your prompt?
no subject
I'm not answering that.
[ sorry but he's more than aware of what people can and will do when things that are important to them are on the line and he's not about to expose anything that would set him off. might be useful to know for good things but also useful to know for bad things and he's all about the bad things. ]
no subject
but
i have lili, so]
So you'll just admit that you had a reason for harming others, but you won't say what that reason is?
Pardon my saying so - [she's just saying it as a formality,] - but are you going out of your way to look suspicious and hard to trust?
no subject
Uncovering people's intentions like this is equally suspicious and exposes dangerous information.
[ basically does it look like giyuu cares if people think he's suspicious or that he's hard to trust? that's fine? he has names in his mind that are important to him and that's where they'll stay. ]
We don't know the terms of which we're facing.
no subject
I'm asking because secrets get people killed, or ultimately make it harder to work together.
[and also she hates them. a little bit more because of personal bias but also it's fueled by the former, so.]
It's not as though you're the only one who's ever harmed another - far from it, based on who else is apparently on board.
But the reasons why are what set people apart.
no subject
also shame that giyuu can't see things her way exactly. murder island would have heavily benefited from using that kind of information against another person. transparency about what he has done is fine—when prompted—but giving it out like this so openly? nah.
he's honest but there are just some things you don't say. ]
Ask me again when we know what we should be expecting.
no subject
she doesn't like it! it's obvious on her face. that said, she seems to at least be considering that. she's the type to demand answers regardless, but she also supposes that much is fair when there is a possible murder situation ahead.]
Will you answer honestly when we do?
no subject
at least he'll offer something that might be helpful? ish??? ]
I will. [ flatly: ] I do not have intentions of lying to anyone.
