Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations.

Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week.

If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies.

As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally.

Speaking of walking down memory lane, it seems the theater and the portal aren't the only places to relive some fond memories... or revisit ones that are better left in the past. Yes, it's memshare week. It doesn't matter if you cover yourself up from head to toe, or pirouette away from anyone who might make physical contact with you. Simple proximity OR eye contact is enough to get the ball rolling. As soon as this simple condition is met, you will find yourself reliving the other party's memories from their point of view. These memories can either be canon memories, or memories from the game they were previously in. Regardless of what the case may be, this effect will last until Week 4 officially begins.

Have fun, everyone!

I think they'd both work well, but if purple is your preference, then I can't argue otherwise.

[to the shades of purple, then!!]

I wear a fair amount of pink, in my homeworld, but I do not wish to sport that color here. Purple is the next closest.

[side-eyes the pink tasks... and starts looking through the purple clothing]

Ah. Yeah, I can't blame you for that one. In this camp, we don't stan pink.

[there's a cute tie-dye raincoat hanging amidst the dresses!! he pulls on its sleeve and gives Flayn a curious look]

... "stan"?

[...but ooh! that's definitely an option. she reaches out to touch the sleeve.]

Such an interesting fabric...

"Stan." It means "support."

[WE DON'T SUPPORT PINK!!!]

It's a rain coat. Do they have those where you come from?

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-06-30 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[none support for pink...

flayn will remember that, though. can't wait for her to use this new vocab in a trial, probably when she's blindly defending someone from a murder accusation.]

We use cloaks to protect against the rain, but I have never seen anything of this type.

[I HOPE SHE DOES THANK YOU BRITT I'M SO GLAD]

The material is water-proof. It keeps you from getting wet better than something made out of cloth would.

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-06-30 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
How useful...!

[time to just. try on the raincoat! this is hers now.]

[hooray!! he has accomplished a good purple task]

Congratulations on your new entrance to the world of tie-dye fashion.

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-06-30 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Well - thank you!

[she runs a hand along one of the sleeves again]

But I do wonder how they... dyed this. The material does not seem as though it would take well to dye, if water slides right off of it...

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-30 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[hmm. . . good question]

Industry secret?
fishingforcompliments: (014)

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-06-30 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps...

[how is she supposed to recreate it in feverse if it's a secret, though!! weeps.]

Whomever accomplished it must have been very skilled.

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-30 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[rip Flayn]

. . . probably? I can't even respond to that because I don't know how raincoats are made.
fishingforcompliments: (003)

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-06-30 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
So it is a secret even in your world...
survivaltricks: (pic#12975861)

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-30 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Not so much a "secret" as "only the people who work in the raincoat factories know how it works."
fishingforcompliments: (004)

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-06-30 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
...is that not simply a secret shared between the workers in the... raincoat factories?
survivaltricks: (pic#13006392)

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-07-03 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
. . . [I]

No. . . probably because people outside the raincoat factories can find out the secret if they want to.

They just don't bother.
fishingforcompliments: (023)

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-07-03 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
...well, that is a waste. If the knowledge is out there, why not seek it out?
survivaltricks: (pic#13004418)

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-07-04 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Because I don't want to make raincoats for a living.
fishingforcompliments: (022)

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-07-04 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
But you do not have to make them for a living simply to know about it...
survivaltricks: (pic#13006316)

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-07-05 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Iiiii guess I don't want to know about it, then. . .?

[THIS CONVERSATION HAS TAKEN A WEIRD TURN]
fishingforcompliments: (014)

[personal profile] fishingforcompliments 2020-07-05 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[it sure has. flayn takes a moment to consider everything that has led them to this moment, and feels a little silly.]

...ah, we seem to have gotten a little off-topic.
