WEEK THREE: MINGLE

Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. Speaking of walking down memory lane, it seems the theater and the portal aren't the only places to relive some fond memories... or revisit ones that are better left in the past. Yes, it's memshare week. It doesn't matter if you cover yourself up from head to toe, or pirouette away from anyone who might make physical contact with you. Simple proximity OR eye contact is enough to get the ball rolling. As soon as this simple condition is met, you will find yourself reliving the other party's memories from their point of view. These memories can either be canon memories, or memories from the game they were previously in. Regardless of what the case may be, this effect will last until Week 4 officially begins. Have fun, everyone! |

We've had an endgame. It's always been to rescue everyone, burn this place to the ground, and then move on.
We still need to figure out how to break this stupid cycle and everything else, though.

People move on proof, and fight for things they want to protect. For some people, this is it.

she doesn't see the difference but]
Fine, then you've heard it - everyone we're looking to save is here somewhere.
no subject
Don't brush it off—if you want everyone's participation, use what they care about. A leader rallies everyone—not just the people that happen to agree with them.
[did he just call her a leader.]
no subject
But I wasn't talking in abstracts. We've known since the beginning that there are people who aren't here. We should have always had them in mind.
If people feel more relieved knowing that it's confirmed that they're out somewhere, that's fine, but I don't see how anything's changed.
[she's not meant to be a leader, she's too stubborn]
Our cause has always been the same.
no subject
Then convince people of that, and maybe we'll have a murder-free week.
[no.]
no subject
If no one murders on Thursdays, the entire game is forfeit and everyone dies. I hate it, obviously, and I still don't find it forgivable - but we can't have a 'murder-free week' until we determine how to dismantle the game in the first place.

For the past two weeks, we've only had one body each time. There's two theories - one is that they were done by the same person.
The second is that they were done by two different people, but how did they know not to overlap? If it was done to buy us time and not because someone is bloodthirsty, that's the only explanation for why there wasn't more than one body.
It's the bare minimum of casualties... so it's either someone who is acting repeatedly on their own, or there's something else to it.
no subject
Someone's protecting them, and assisting them ahead of time.
[Someone was doing the dirty work for them.]
If they're performing the service. If you found them. Would you support them?
no subject
'Support' is a strong word, and I never support murder of innocents. In particular, I don't support cruelty in the way that we know for certain what happened to Hikage was not easy or simple.
[like that was crossing the line.]
But if my guess is right, and someone is doing this to ensure we don't run out of time - it's not as easy as condemning their actions either, if we were to be at a total loss without them.
no subject
In that case, I wonder if the murder needs to be unknown. For example, someone can't agree to be killed—it has to be the killer's choice, or it invalidates it.
no subject
It's not impossible... but there's no way to confirm that until we actually find one of them.
no subject
So they might only be killing people they don't have any personal connections with.
no subject
I've heard that theory, too.
But it remains that there's an odd trend of losing more Purple Heart or Winter Wizard team members over the weeks.
no subject
What theory stands out as most true to you?
no subject
Purple Heart is shaky, considering that Tsurumaru was an accident, no one knew Yu's team or power not even Guy, and Hikage kept his close to the chest as well.
So I think it's more likely that they're targeting people that they don't know all too well, of the murders that were purposeful.
no subject
So it stands to reason that it's most likely someone from outside those realms.
no subject
The Castle also don't necessarily all get along with each other - and I could say the same for the Temple.
Most places have more divided individuals.
[the only obvious exception that really comes to mind is herself, tsuru, and kara, but that's also what happens when there's only 3 of them]
no subject
[SHRUG...]
It's either one killer, or two coincidences. And broadly speaking, the boat's members have the best reason to fight.
no subject
[she's just. ruling that out. the timing and happenstance of everything are way too weird for it to really be a coincidence if you ask her.]
... but do they? What we're being promised isn't even entirely what we're owed...
no subject
The most likely answer is a group of people protecting each other, and taking turns doing it, taking advantage of the stakes, and the rules.
no subject
Maybe. We cannot confirm until we get something right, and manage to dredge the confession out of their throat.
[which like
she plans on doing]

Then we'll get answers to those questions.
It's the only way to proceed.
