Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Black Shadows manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Purple Heart will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Winter Wizard doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. Speaking of walking down memory lane, it seems the theater and the portal aren't the only places to relive some fond memories... or revisit ones that are better left in the past. Yes, it's memshare week. It doesn't matter if you cover yourself up from head to toe, or pirouette away from anyone who might make physical contact with you. Simple proximity OR eye contact is enough to get the ball rolling. As soon as this simple condition is met, you will find yourself reliving the other party's memories from their point of view. These memories can either be canon memories, or memories from the game they were previously in. Regardless of what the case may be, this effect will last until Week 4 officially begins. Have fun, everyone! |

he lifts his glass to her for a celebratory clink. ]
Wonderful! We're getting along better already.
[ he takes a second to flip through to another random page of their game questions. as for their other 'task'... ]
How are you liking the wine?
no subject
[ she picks up another glass to take an experimental sip. and then nods. ]
Am I imagining it, but are all of these really strong?
[ she is pretty sure she isn't this much of a lightweight?? ]
no subject
[ his ears are going a little pink by now, though. ]
There's quite a lot left to get through...
no subject
[ hm
she'll shake her head. okay! back to business! ]
Let's get to the next question.
no subject
Finish this sentence: “My husband is really good at ____________, but ___________, not so much.”
[ hm. ]
no subject
hm. ]
You're really good at... swordsmanship, but bad at... flirting?
[ a wild guess. ]
no subject
I think that should count as a half-point—you know me better than I know myself. I think my only attempt at 'flirting' was... how should I put it? Completely disastrous?
[ convenient memshare to emphasize the point. ]
no subject
but stephanie just blinks. in surprise? she momentarily forgot that memshares are happening and... sadly, she has had enough to drink that she is just laughing at what she just saw. ]
You're really cute!
[ FUCKIN ADORABLE ]
no subject
dimitri, meanwhile, is tipsy enough to cringe at himself and blurt out, ]
Cute? [ no one has ever in the history of his life called him that ] Nothing of the sort! Ugh, if I could've let the underworld claim me in that moment, I would have.
[ he's suddenly grateful the wine is stupid strong, because at least he can blame any blush on that and not MORTIFYING EMBARRASSMENT ]
no subject
Noooo! It was pretty adorable, really!
[ i deeply wish steph didn't love flustered men, but here we are. ]
Very endearing.
no subject
[ steph love yourself
he wants to die a lot, but thankfully there are diversions. like wine! they are being served more wine. he drinks this new glass a little too quickly, gesturing back to the game very unsubtly. look! a distraction. ]
Well! I believe it is your turn.
no subject
steph looks through the questions, popping another cheese square into her mouth. it really does go well with wine. ]
What are the two pieces of jewelry that you will always find your wife wearing?
no subject
...A necklace? [ it takes him a second to think of literally any other jewelry. that wine sure is something. ] A ring, perhaps?
no subject
but steph laughs again, shaking her head. yeah, all the wine is definitely hitting, and she's just taking a new glass of it. ]
I don't really wear jewelry.
no subject
A trick question...? I'm sorry Stephanie, but we may be doomed.
[ there are so many questions. so many points. so many wine. his posture uncharacteristically breaks a little as he tilts onto the table, bracing his arms against it as he reads through the next question. ]
When your husband was in school, what were his best subjects?
no subject
No, it's fine. We got one right! We've got this.
[ do they. do they really.
but she is thinking long and hard about this. especially because he is like, one of those people from like some old ass place? did they even know chemistry back then? she doesn't know. ]
His... tory...?
no subject
he squints into his wine. they've inadvertently created a drinking game, because by now he's taking a sip whenever they get this wrong. they will never finish tasting all these wines. ]
I attend a... military academy, I suppose you could call it. Our subjects are based more on tactics and warfare.
[ swordsmanship would've been right this time, sadly. he grasps at optimism. ]
We are at 1.5 of 3? That is nearly a passing grade. [ GETTING THERE... ] I give thanks to sneakers.
[ their one saving grace. ]
no subject
[ she will give a toast to her sneakers! and then take another drink. stephanie is definitely a lot more giggle than she normally is at the moment, and that is fine. ]
Alright, let's see... If the two of you were pregnant, who are the two people your wife would want to tell first?
[ hm. her smile turns into a slight frown, but she still looks at dimitri expectantly. yes, husband? ]
no subject
he doesn't know them very well, but based on all the chaotic chatter around the party bonfire that one day... he pauses. even if he's drunk, he has the sense not to stomp around this subject without at least turning his voice a little softer. ]
Would that be Belph and Hikage?
no subject
Maybe not Hikage. He'd just get really mad and mopey about it.
[ she's not saying no to belph, though. ]
If it were possible, it would be my mom. So... that's a half point? That gives us two.
no subject
I hope you get to see her soon.
[ not because they're pregnant. just in general. ]
no subject
I do miss her waffles.
[ ..... she empties another glass. there is so much wine, why. ]
