Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Purple Heart manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Winter Wizard will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Black Shadows doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, at the start of this week everyone will wake up with a tattoo of a star on the back of their hands. Though you will be unaware of its purpose at first, it will quickly become apparent the moment you say the words "I wish" out loud. It's a wish granting star! Or, well, sort of. Regardless of what you wish for, the result of the wish is always material, small, and never actually useful for what the character actually desires. They cannot cause effects or change anything, nor will it result in a weapon or items that can be used to solve a murder. For example, wishing for an exit will result in an Emergency Exit sign materializing in your hands. You will all get three wishes each. The star will become fainter with each wish, until disappearing once they make their third wish. All items gained through this effect will disappear once Week 2 officially begins. Good luck. |
tuesday
she looks back at him, confused]
I don't have any vouchers left for an umbrella. It's just a bit of rain, it's not bad.
no subject
[ or, like, something close? he's not aware that there's a limit on how many wishes you can use. ]
It would be troublesome if you caught a cold.
no subject
[it's not like she's riding horseback to the next town in the rain and no cover which she has definitely done]
no subject
[ With a sigh, he gets to his feet. ]
I'll get one for you if you won't. [ he holds out his hand. ] I wish I had an umbrella.
[ and just like magic, his wish... is granted. ]
no subject
she
covers her mouth politely
and turns away from him so he can't see just how fucking hard she's trying to keep from laughing]
no subject
... Whatever.
[ sticking the tiny paper umbrella in one of his pockets, he picks up his finished bowl of soup. ]
Wait there a second.
[ walking away ]
no subject
dissolving into a fit of giggles when he's walking away. i'm sorry hikage. she thinks this is so funny.
what the fuck a tiny umbrella]
no subject
Is it really that funny?
[ his stupid life!! ]
no subject
A - bit.
[though she's going to tilt her head when he walks up with his umbrella? hello?]
Eh? You don't need to accompany me.
[hikage you are so fuckin weird]
no subject
I'm doing you a favor. Unless you'd rather be cold and wet, you can stop complaining. [ pulling his goth jacket on over his shoulders. ] I was done, anyway.
no subject
I suppose...
[she still thinks it's a bit odd]
Do you normally escort people in the rain?
no subject
Getting brought to that castle was the first time I'd even been allowed outside in a long time.
[ so, no. after a moment of thinking, he adds: ]
... Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not interested in you.
no subject
LAUGHS]
Ha! Normally I'd chastise you for your poor taste, but you don't need to worry. I definitely wasn't considering you in the slightest.
[SHE'S SO RUDE]
no subject
[ SOUNDING SLIGHTLY OFFENDED... anyway, he's going out now, opening the door and his umbrella and holding both out for her to go first. ]
no subject
[she doesn't even want to entertain it - but she will, unfortunately walk first. because she's at least used to being escorted around if nothing else]
Anyway, you were saying something about not getting to go outside much? Were you locked up somewhere?
no subject
I was dead. [ information he's willing to share, but which he's never thrilled about. ] I existed in the space between the world of the living and oblivion. I'm still dead now, although they've given me a convincing body.
no subject
You don't think this counts as living?
[what he's doing now, or is it a state of being dead?]
no subject
[ he'll be honest. ]
When this ends, I'll find out if I'm truly "alive." Dreams feel real while you're in them, but they're still just dreams when you wake up.
no subject
For what it's worth, I think that life can stand to be way better than this one - this whole situation is horrible.
[but she'll extend her hand out past the umbrella, letting the raindrops hit her hand]
But if you don't think of this as real, maybe your life will pass you by anyway.
no subject
[ he doesn't want to get his hopes up too high again. He's still reeling from having them crushed after escaping the castle. ]
no subject
[she's just going to say that.]
I'm just saying distrusting everything every second stops being productive after a while.
