Good morning, Camp Gatonina. The weather continues to be... okay, actually? Sunny skies as far as the eye can see. Not a single stormcloud to be found. Hardly the right environment for this grimm sort of occasion. At 9AM, two hours after the bugle call for breakfast, you will be drawn to the bonfire. Your body will move of its own volition, giving you little to no time to pick up any sort of protection. As you approach the bonfire, you will find that you are not the only one. The Camp Directors and Ogata seem to be marching to the same rhythm as the rest of you, their movements stiff as they approach from the direction of the Isolation Cabin. Once everyone has gathered in the same location, you will hear a voice that is recognized by none. "Haha, that was a trainwreck. Ogata Hyakunosuke, get over here." Ogata will be forced to approach the fire, as everyone else takes several steps back to form something of an impromptu fighting ring around the bonfire. "As for your opponent... Beauregard Lionett, why don't you give us a show?" Similarly to Ogata, Beauregard will be forced to approach the fire. Those in the audience will find themselves rooted to the spot, and the participants of the execution will hit an invisible barrier three feet away from the rest of the group if they try to escape. In her dominant hand, Beauregard will find a 20-sided dice... though one of the sides is now blank. You're all old pros at this. It goes without saying that it's time for the execution to begin. |

this is all she's got, all she's ever had. her fists and stubborn determination.
but she's tired. and injured already. he can likely block some of her hits. but she's not bothering to hold back. full strength for the cat man. ]

But then as he seems to slacken, he draws his arms into himself, like a guard, his forearms covering his face. And he speaks in a soft, oddly pitiful voice. Barely above a whisper. It might not even be audible to anyone but Beau.]
Beauregard. I envy you, you know. If only I had more time, maybe I could have found my own place, too.

she hesitates. ]

He jabs up with one hand, terrible little fingers jabbing up into vulnerable flesh: Beau’s eye. A desperate animal lashing out and aiming for the cheap shots, just for a chance to scrabble out from under Beau.]

she scrambles backwards a bit herself, trying to get distance, and the hand not pressing to her eye feels desperately around in the sand, casting for the mace. she can't quite get her fingers around it. ]

So, he picks one up. And walks back over to where Beau is scrabbling frantically. All calm, the look on his expression as dark and unreadable as it always is. And he speaks in that barely audible voice again;]
I hope you meant what you said, because I'm sure your father would be terribly ashamed to see you die like this.
[And then he swings the mace at her head.]

it feels like time slows down as her fingers finally grasp at the handle of the mace on the ground. she hears the sound of ogata's mace swinging towards her, and she doesn't think, she doesn't do anything but react. dairon in her head snaps beauregard and behind it there's an echo of phoenix - and the hand over her eye snaps away and up, just in time for her arm to intercept the head of the mace before it knocks her head off her shoulders. there's a sickening crack, the squelch of spike hitting flesh, but she moves her head back enough that it doesn't hit her face. and she's not done.
she grabs the mace on the ground, haphazardly, and throws it as hard as she can, right into ogata's face. ]

And then she throws the mace at him. He didn't predict that. Even less so, did he predict her haphazard, desperate throw to case the mace to spin wildly through the air, ending up whacking Ogata in the face with the non-murdery, but still very heavy, handle end.
He goes down again, but he's not dead yet, hands flying up to the place where the mace handle hit him in his dumb terrible head. But he's not getting up.]
no subject
no hesitation. it's almost animal-like, kill something before it kills you, and beau doesn't feel anything but that instinct as she slams her fists into ogata's face over and over and over. she doesn't stop. ]
no subject
But as he falls completely still, it drops. As if at the very end, he changed his mind, and maybe he didn’t want to die, after all. Just for a second, as his bloody split lips move, as if to speak. But no sound comes out. Ogata Hyakunosuke is dead.]
no subject
ogata is dead, but she keeps punching, mindless, like she's trying to get that smirk off his face. ]

Black Shadows moves closer to fetch the body, but-- hesitates, on seeing that Beau seemingly isn't done with him yet.
Their audience will shortly find themselves able to move, though, as the effects wear away from them one by one. One of them in particular will find themselves freed slightly ahead of the others.]

Beau! It's over. He's gone.
[ and then he's pulling her away from the body, completely prepared to get punched in the process, turning her around and hugging her as tightly as he can manage. ]
Shh.. it's okay. I've got you.
[ they need to take care of her eye -- but they can't when she's doing this, so he'll take whatever she has left to dish out. softly, patting her hair if she'll let him: ]
I've got you.
[ happy father's day!!! ogata doesn't get a dad. or to live ]

The other Directors step in to help Phoenix and Beau, giving them a nudge toward the Nurse's Office, and escorting the two of them there.]
