POPULATION: 37 Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Winter Wizard manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Black Shadows will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Purple Heart doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. To further complicate matter, you will quickly discover that something about you has changed. At the start of the week, every single one of you will find yourselves aligned with one of four elements: fire, water, air or earth. Though your affiliation will not allow you to perform any outright elemental manipulation, you will find yourself reflecting your affiliation through one physical attribute. For example: A fire aligned may become hot to the touch, an earth aligned might discover their skin is now coarse like sandpaper, an air aligned might find their hair constantly flowing in an unfelt breeze, and a water aligned might be................. very sweaty. Whatever the case, this effect will fade away once Week 3 officially begins.

Indeed. Given the nature of our location, I suppose it would be hard to realize as well.....

But I suppose from here on our we'll definitely be more aware of such.

Yeah, everything is so intense here that it's hard to focus on stuff like romance... But there are also a lot of people who, um, found love! Even in a place like this!

Mm, it's true.

I suppose it's human nature to find comfort even the worst of situations. I certainly could not fault anyone who does so.

Me either. It's sad to think about it, but what if it's your last chance? You shouldn't miss out on such a big life experience.

[daifukus]

[ laughs a little in tonbo ]

I suppose these dates have some practical use as well then. If only to make sure we all come away with at least the experience of it.

[applechemist]

That's right. So if you get a bunch of practice here, you'll be able to take Nikkari on the best date ever the next time you see him.

[ that makes sense to her. ]

[ he looks down, suddenly full of soft doki's. how did escha guess......? ]

Mm. That is the plan.

Well - would you like to go on a practice-date with me?

She offers her hand out to him. ... And has to think for a second, because she knows that it's bad manners to make the person who was asked out pick the location. ]

Maybe we could visit the pond, through the portal?

[ tbh that tracks. but with his hand in hers, he tilts his head thoughtfully before smiling in agreement. ]

Mm, that sounds lovely. I've yet to explore much of that place.

[ Nice, she starts heading in the direction of the portal. ]

I've been looking around. It's very pretty - but the fish are especially interesting.

Mm, I've only taken a quick walk around myself.

[ you know. outside of the hot springs episode. ]

I wonder if it's anything I would recognize...

Maybe. I don't know, I'm really not familiar with fish...

If it's possible, perhaps I can catch some for us. Food is an essential part, right?

I'd feel bad eating such pretty fish! Besides, we have plenty of food!

[daifukus]

Mm, that's true. Hah, I suppose they'll live to swim another day.

[ he's teasing. but he certainly wouldn't mind just relaxing by the water, enjoying the day ]

[ good, bc let's just. say they are there. ]

I've never seen fish like these.

[daifukus]

[ even if he's not actively fishing for them, tonbo still has his hand in the water, grinning a little when they taste the salt on his skin before darting away ]

It's different in your home? [ he probably recognizes some of them but hell if I know a snapper from a salmon ]

[ She kneels down next to the water, just watching them. ]

There are only a couple kinds of fish. None of them look like this... That I know of.

But maybe in areas I've never been to before.

[daifukus]

It's very possible it's just only due to our location. There are many species out there who exist in only certain areas after all.

[ look at him be knowledgeable about fish ]

I wish I could show them to everyone back home.

[daifukus]

There should be some way for you to take back pictures. Perhaps if we were to ever find a library or something here?

Mm... though I suppose there should be ways to take prints home as well...?

Thinking about taking things home... Is a really dangerous train of thought.

I can't stop thinking about how many materials for alchemy I would want to experiment. Materials from other worlds would have to have some interesting traits, don't you think?

I would certainly assume so-! [ actually hey, hold on I don't think they ever talked about the alchemy thing? hewwo? ]
