Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina.

With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite.

It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus.

Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats.

"So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party."

"Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time."

"We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck."

Well, you know the drill by now.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial!

We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games.

While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits.

Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

There are two teams that are pretty close in numbers, and tasks count for more if they're done with a person on the same team. Statistically speaking, we can only really rule out one team -- for all the good it does.

But yes, I did have the Howling in mind.

Wait, they do? Is this simply because of two-way tasks like 'dancing with someone' count twice, once for both parties, or is there actually an added weight to it?

[ but yeah nothing about the howling since that's what keeps coming up and it's. plausible. ]

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
No, just doing any task with someone from the same team gets more points.
chaoticlootral: (tongues;)

[personal profile] chaoticlootral 2020-06-28 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
. . . Seriously?
slobjection: (when it comes to)

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Teamwork makes the dream work, apparently.
chaoticlootral: (seeming;)

[personal profile] chaoticlootral 2020-06-28 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Do you get-- nevermind. We'll talk about it later.

[personal profile] extracrispy 2020-06-28 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Wait, where did you hear that?
slobjection: (so here's some free advice)

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
I asked. Though, I suppose the better way to phrase is is 'x team member doing task with other x team member means more overall points for 'x team'.

[personal profile] extracrispy 2020-06-28 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. Ain't that just basic math, though? If you add one plus one, it's always going to be two.
slobjection: (to become an attorney)

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Sure, but I'm talking about the overall members of each team. One is less likely, based on the numbers.

Fair enough. Statistics and all that jazz.

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-28 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Wait, what? How do you know that?
survivaltricks: (pic#13006392)

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-28 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
[oh my god]

What made you think to ask?
slobjection: (your only expertise)

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Just curious about how the points system worked, since I presumed most would be trying to do tasks.
survivaltricks: unless otherwise stated (pic#12975849)

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-28 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
[hahaha. . .]

Talk about discouraging inter-team cooperation.
slobjection: (pretty smart kid)

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Suppose the main thing would be to try to get everyone doing as many tasks as possible -- just overall, x team gets more points from multiple x team members.

[personal profile] overruns 2020-06-28 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
It's a thin lead, but with the time we have left, it may be all we have. At least it may help us determine who may not be guilty.
slobjection: (DONT B A LAWYER)

[personal profile] slobjection 2020-06-28 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Problem is, we can't announce our teams or anyone else's. So, we'll have to find a way around it.
