Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina.

With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite.

It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus.

Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats.

"So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party."

"Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time."

"We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck."

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial!

We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games.

While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits.

Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

Suppose Guy did it - how did he get the smoke bomb? Giyuu confirmed that previously there was an item that would clear footprints, and then another item that would increase hearing.

That doesn't mean that everyone on that team received a smoke bomb. So where did it come from?

I think at this point, someone from that team was involved no matter what. They had to at least supply the item that could clear footprints - but what about everything else? The trees? The sled?

Someone who's seen the two items mentioned - footprint clearing and hearing increase - were they pink?

Maybe the smoke bomb really was an item provided by the directors?

It's a weapon though, isn't it? They told me I'd have to exchange vouchers to even get a training sword.

Back in the mansion those with "special privileges" were allowed to ask for items from our hosts. They were items that the rest of us couldn't get.

I know one of them managed to get a tranquilizer gun, and one of them requested some luminol.

What if it's the same way here?

So you think that those special privileges are tied to what happens on Thursdays after all?

It's not - it doesn't sound impossible.

They could be, but they also might not be. I don't know.

I'm just saying, that could be a way for someone to get an item that the rest of us can't.

... got it. I was told that we ought to be looking at the larger picture. Maybe we need to have a better understanding of the way things worked in all of our settings to determine how this place operates.

Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised. I just asked Black Shadows for a smoke bomb and they said no.

Black Shadows wouldn't confirm any of the items weren't provided by them.
