Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina.

With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite.

It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus.

Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats.

"So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party."

"Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time."

"We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck."

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial!

We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games.

While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits.

Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

[Since Dick's looking at the scratch more closely, he'll notice it's more like three or four scratches that are parallel to each other, like they were done in one consecutive swipe. They're pretty deep and long, and it's sort of hard to tell what may have caused it immediately but they bled fairly heavily.

The marks aren't thick enough to be bear claws though, at least.]

[ are they perfectly parallel in a way that could only have been made by an object and not someone or something with claws? also, pretend he asked for gloves. i just remembered he doesn't have any normally. if he wipes some of that blood away is there anything else around his collarbone and neck like bruising, and can he see the scritches better?

also i did not ask about the clothing situation so he's wearing his regular outfit right ]

[They're maybe slightly curved, but still difficult to really get a judge on them. Also fine, he can have a pair of gloves. Wiping some of the blood will just reveal that the scratches are deep but there's no bruising or anything else like that.

I assume he's wearing his regular outfit, yes! Does Dick want to check anything about that?]

[ yes! because eventually all corpses go naked. sorry hikage. but not right now!!! for now do his clothes look ripped or dirty in a way that isn't related to the obvious Bloody Wounds? are there pockets? what, if anything, is in the pockets? what is the shoe situation. he won't turn the body over completely to check the back just yet because Gaping Stomach Wound, I have learned ]

[Stop. Thanks for leaving Hikage some dignity. His clothes mostly are just bloody though there may be a little bit of dirt mixed in! It's hard to tell with All Of This Blood, however. There are rips in places around his wounds, and he's still got his shoes. So that's nice. In addition since he's checking the clothes and everything, he'll notice that Hikage's scrunchie is on his right wrist and is now showing itself as purple.

On the other hand, his pants look a little damp near one of the pockets? So looking through Hikage's pockets, he'll find:

-A pink ocarina
-A pink kazoo
-A ring that says "bitches"
-A medium-sized bloody rock.

Neat.]

[ okay first of all, hikage can keep the kazoo and ocarina but he will bring that ring to steph later so he's pocketing it. second of all.

IS THIS A BLOODY ROCK WE KNOW OR IS THIS A NEW ONE ]

[It's new :D It's also just coated in blood.]

[ I AM BANNING ROCKS FROM THIS GAME. just like. the entire rock is coated in blood? there's nothing else except that's a small rock the size of a large rock, aka medium? nothing else in his pockets to explain why there's just a bloody rock in there.

because he'll leave that to the side with an annoyed sigh if there's nothing else on that rock (i hate you all) to finally look at the wound on his stomach. how deep is it, how wide, do i have to warn about guts gore, etc ]

[Yeah, it's just a rock coated in blood. And maybe a little bit of stray innards because when Dick looks at the stomach wound, he'll notice that it's one hole that seems to have been stabbed downward and opened wider to reach and move Hikage's insides around. The guts are still there oh my god you guys.

Anyway. Ew.]

he's going to have to take hikage's shirt off to look at this properly so first off: anything obvious when he does re: bruising. second: just. what the fuck do you MEAN move his insides around. are they just pushed around. does. does the rock fit. in the hole. he's not going to push it through and make the wound worse but would it fit in the hole. i hate this. ]

[There isn't anything like bruising outside of what you'd expect from someone being more or less punctured? Perhaps that's a good word for it, it's like a large puncture wound of some kind. It's messy...like something was jabbed in the hole but pushed some of his insides around when pulling back out.

I mean. The rock can fit in the hole just fine but it's a big enough hole that it would probably just drop into it comfortably. Looking at the wound itself though Dick will be able to tell that whatever caused it isn't exactly perfectly round or anything.]

[ i'm going to assume no one put the rock in this hole because i can't live in this world. you are all banned. the rock is going off to the SIDE now. but okay so the wound isn't deep enough to go to the other side of his body, right? and there's no bruises or wounds on his chest/torso/arms outside of, uh, puncture stomach time and scratches? what about his yaoi hands. is there anything on his hands? knuckles, nails, palms, etc? ]

[Right, nothing through the body though it's deep enough that it's likely a source of major damage. There are no bruises or wounds elsewhere besides the deep blood scratches.

His yaoi hands are fine...just empty now that he can't hold other people's hands :(]

[ okay! guess what it's time to take someone's pants off. dignity is over, hikage's corpse. but he can keep his underwear because if the answer to the murder was in the butt i don't care. how are his leggies! bruises, wounds, etc. feet fetish goes here as well; is there anything on his shoes? top and sole? after he takes them off, inside? and is there anything on his feeties.

i am being thorough but i need you guys to know thinking about feet is worse than the fake missing guts thank you ]

[Just probably bloody from the stomach wound dripping down, etc. Otherwise there are no real bruises or wounds to speak of! Nothing on the shoes except for dirt from being outside and regular wear and tear. Nothing inside the shoes. Leave the feeties alone.

[Stamped on the body right above the butt is a tattoo that says DICK DID IT.

[NOPE!! It's just the gouged out eye wound that's very deep, the scratches that are pretty brutal, and the stomach wound where his guts are having a bad day :(]
