Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina.

With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite.

It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus.

Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats.

"So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party."

"Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time."

"We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck."

Well, you know the drill by now.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial!

We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games.

While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits.

Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

Mmm, no. I didn't find any, and I checked the bushes near the markings just in case.

But whoever checks the bonfire and residential cabins should keep an eye out for some.

Belph did say earlier that Hikage would have defended himself. Unless the gun wasn't shot at all and the murderer got rid of the bullets for some reason.

[hmmmm. . .]

So Hikage did have ammunition on him beforehand? If he would've defended itself, it's possible he shot at our culprit, then.
muragas: rivain (things that confuse me)

Apparently he had some ammo, though we don't know how much... And I can't imagine why he'd go out during curfew with an unloaded gun. So the question is if he did fire it, and if he managed to hit anyone.

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-27 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Did he disclose to anyone here how much he had?

[HE WANTS TO KNOW HOW MANY TIMES THIS GUN WAS FIRED]

If he did fire it, and he did manage to hit someone, we might be looking for bullet wounds.
muragas: rivain (unnameable things)

[personal profile] muragas 2020-06-27 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope! I asked.

[ haha imagine if the ammo was a bluff the whole time and no one knew ]

Bullet wounds, sure, but we shouldn't disqualify smaller ones either, like if someone got grazed.

[damn it]

I was including bullet grazing wounds in that, yeah.

I also know we have some healing items floating around, so we should check anyone who seems to be surprisingly uninjured, too.
muragas: whisperinghope (hearts flew from my hands)

[personal profile] muragas 2020-06-27 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, my mistake.

[ ... ]

I was wondering, do you think it'd be feasible if we doubled up during the strip checks? Two sets of eyes, to hopefully catch anything the other person missed.

[ even though that'd probably kill our time asdjfkl ]

[personal profile] survivaltricks 2020-06-27 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's a smart thing to do, actually.

[WE MISS SO MUCH DURING STRIP CHECKS. SO MUCH]
muragas: whisperinghope (and there would be)

[personal profile] muragas 2020-06-27 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ nods ]

I'd say the two checkers should be from different social groups, to prevent collusion, but I'm not sure anyone could check for that.

[a light huff, mouth twitching]

We'll just have to do the best that we can.
muragas: (you are so loved)

[ looks at last trial, yeah i'm sure it'll be fine

but Minako just gives him a smile and a thumbs up ]
