POPULATION: 36 Rise and shine, Camp Gatonina. With yesterday's announcement weighting on your mind, you are left to your own devices for the entirety of the morning. The 7:00 AM bugle call will announce breakfast as usual, and those who still manage to retain an appetite under the current circumstances are free to make their way over to the mess hall in order to grab a bite. It is not until 12:00 PM that something changes. Coming as a surprise to none, given your past experiences, your body will move of its own accord towards the Mess Hall. You are powerless to resist. The Mess Hall doors will lock once everyone is inside, and for some reason — your vision will momentarily blur before everything snaps back into focus. Winter Wizard, Purple Heart and Black Shadows will be seated at a table by the enclosed bulletin board. Their bunnies will be beside them, dressed impeccably. They share a look, visibly uncomfortable, before they rise from their seats. "So it seems one of your own has been killed. Now's the time to work together and find the responsible party." "Nine hours remain to discuss and locate. Still have time." "We'll help you as much as we can from our end, too, so... Good luck." Well, you know the drill by now. - - - Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games. While there was a mini-investigation on Friday, today is the day participants can really dive in to investigate areas in the game setting, check over the body and review evidence that they find! Please see the toplevels in this post for more information. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. One of your NPCs will also be accompanying you on these visits. Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. Please also be sure to read the voting page carefully.

No, I highly doubt it. I'm rather sure they were cursed to be infatuated with each other, Asch got hit with a curse that completely drowns out his emotions, and either Zenitsu got cursed too so he won't cry over it, or... something else. Maybe he's just scorned.

But most of that happened before Thursday evening.

[For all that Sanji looks relieved, Zenitsu grows increasingly distressed the longer the cupcake is in front of him. He could just sweep it aside, but he can't bring himself to do it. His eyes well with tears when he shoves himself out of his seat, knocking the chair over, and goes to squat in a corner with his hands covering his ears.]

lili is going to just blink at that, deeply confused, and then put it off to the side somewhere.

and then she'll follow after, tapping his shoulder to get his attention before letting her fingers circle his wrist to pull his hand away from his ear]

[His shoulders jump at the tap, but he doesn't resist when she pulls his hand away. His voice is watery as he cries again.]

It's not like I don't want to eat it! I want to! But I can't!

[i guess this is what she's doing since she can't focus on an investigation anymore. she'll move to kneel down next to him, still holding onto his hand]

To your credit, you picked an okay time since we're not doing anything else immediately pressing. There's plenty of other people still working, so I don't think I'll be missed.

[She's right there in a relatively deserted space, and he's not infringing on precious time (or maybe he is). He opens his mouth to speak, only for no sound to escape after he's inhaled.

There's a beat before he straightens to a stand.]

Let's go back and focus on the investigation.
