POPULATION: 30 Good morning, Camp Gatonina. The weather continues to be terrible, snow and snow and more snow as far as the eye can see. You all know what's coming, and you all know it means you have to stand outside until the spectacle is over. So why not grab your coat before you're forced out into cold? At 9AM, two hours after the bugle call for breakfast, you will be drawn to the bonfire. Your body will move of its own volition, giving you little to no time to pick up any sort of protection. As you approach the bonfire, you will find that you are not the only one. The Camp Directors and NHS seem to be marching to the same rhythm as the rest of you, their movements stiff as they approach from the direction of the Isolation Cabin. Once everyone has gathered in the same location, you will hear a voice that is recognized by none. "Ohhhh, you actually caught one? You gotta be raring to go in that case. Nie Huaisang, get you ass in here." NHS will be forced to approach the fire, as everyone else takes several steps back to form something of an impromptu fighting ring around the bonfire. "As for your opponent... Oh, I know. Taako, y'know, from the Movies? Show us how it's done." Similarly to NHS, Taako will be forced to approach the fire. Those in the audience will find themselves rooted to the spot, and the participants of the execution will hit an invisible barrier three feet away from the rest of the group if they try to escape. In his dominant hand, Taako will find a 20-sided dice... though three of the sides are now blank. You're all old pros at this. It goes without saying that it's time for the execution to begin.

[ he made sure to be at her side when they'd gotten locked in place—even as yin yu shows his support, he lets her know he's here, too.

he bumps her shoulder lightly with his own. ]

[He reaches forward from where he's standing near her to pat her on the shoulder.]

she tries to get past the barrier, she tries so hard, she tries to get free, she makes near feral sounds as she pounds her fists against the thing separating him from her, but she can't. she watches him slowly, slowly bleed out. she watches him shiver. ]

Hey - hey, I'm here. I'm here, babe, I'm here. Shh, it's okay. [ she says, thick, through her tears, pressing her hands against the barrier, trying to reach for him. she doesn't even know if he can hear her. she watches him take his last, shuddering breath.

she watches black shadows pick him up and go. it evokes imagery she's seen once before.

they're free to go. beau doesn't. she just slowly sits down in the snow and watches the cabin, eyes blank. ]

[Akira looks exhausted, but like every execution, his expression is stony. it's freezing and he's wearing a heavy hoodie and he pulls it closer around himself to protect himself from the cold as he just. . . watches, stiff and silent]

[ i don't know where they are in relation to each other, but ash is glancing over at him before looking back at twinkoff 2k20 ]

lili's going to be standing around wearing a red piece of cloth around her shoulders like a shawl, and maybe a familiar oversized jacket that is somehow back in her possession since she threw it yesterday. despite being bundled up again, her expression turns worried.]

[flayn is standing nearby - she seems to have tried to catch up to lili while they were all making their way out here. she glances at her with concern, her shoulders tense. taako being called for executioner doesn't really relax them much.]

[He's also standing off to the side with his arms folded across his chest, watching whatever unfolds with a careful eye. Can't believe he's gotta ditch Nie Huaisang to mentally cheer for the better twink in this pen battle.]

[ dick was stoic up until the fountain pen showed up, and now he's. facepalming ]

[flayn is bundled up in weather-appropriate clothing (thank god) that actually fits her (also thank god, she can return the stuff she's been borrowing from everyone else). but she looks worried when taako gets called up, and her hands come to fiddle nervously with the hem of her jacket.]

[ tonbo is currently burrito’d in the longest scarf you’ve ever seen a a stupidly fluffy sweater but none of that matters because he currently looks like he either wants to lay on the floor or throw himself in there instead. what the heck is he gonna do armed with just a pen? ]

[ as usual, majima stands stock still as he watches the proceedings, even if he winces when the fuckin pens show up. but he remains silent, hands tucked firmly into the crooks of his elbows as he crosses his arms with a stony, single-eyed glance.

it would probably be a lot more somber if he didn't look like this right now.

[ Minako's here, her face buried in her scarf as she watches the proceedings unhappily... but when the pens appear, a distinctly queasy look appears on her face. ]

[Oh. Hang on. At some point during the execution his axe just. Fucking vanishes? He's gripping it tightly, so he definitely notices the second it's gone and he just.

Starts laughing? Not a cute laugh. He's trembling, trying to break away even harder now.]

Hah. It's fine. I'll do it with a pen if I have to! But you're on my list, too, asshole!

[he stands separate from the group at large as things start, expression impassive, always looking straight ahead at the scene in the barrier before him.

he doesn't react to the scrunchie, the wounds, the choke... not until Taako shoves the pen deep into Nie's throat does he incline his chin downward—a half-nod, or a better angle?

Huaisang stutters and falls towards Beau, and it's over. he stares at the corpse—because that's what it is, now, a corpse—and the snow around it, staining red.

and once they're free, once it's over—Asch just turns and leaves. maybe he's cursed? or maybe he's just having his mangst, or whatever the fuck is going on.]
