Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Purple Heart manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Winter Wizard will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Black Shadows doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. After the events of last week, perhaps you yearn for privacy. Unfortunately, it seems that though your past will no longer be put on blast, your feelings will be made known to those around you instead. Should you come into physical contact with somebody else, you immediately become aware of whatever emotion they are feeling and vice versa. The feeling will linger for five seconds after physical contact has been broken, at which point it will fade. But the knowledge will remain with you. And even worse, it doesn't necessarily have to be skin-to-skin contact like in your first week. As long as you are physically touching them, that will be enough for the effect to take place. Whether you want to or not, it seems like this is the week to wear your heart on your sleeve. Good luck. |

Well here's my guess: his power could make someone be suspicious of someone else. He was planning to use it later and wanted to know exactly how it worked before he used it for real, so he used it on someone he knew from the mansion since he would know them better and be able to gauge their reaction. And he used that information to plan to use his power later, and more lethally.
And you fucking knew what his power was. Maybe not that first week, but at some point before the trial you knew it. And you lied about it.

That's a lot of assumptions, Chuuya. [ she says, quietly. ] What are you going to do about it if that's true? Kill me?

[He pulls his foot off the table, and he goes to sit down across from her instead.]

Don't fucking power of friendship me. I'm going to hit Akira so hard for teaching you this.
no subject
And that's why I'm mad at you in the first place: I trusted you, and you threw it back in my face.
no subject
I don't want to hear you get mad for me defending A-Sang when you lost your shit at him for lie-checking Dazai in the house, Chuuya.
no subject
You don't get to make that comparison, Beau! Dazai didn't murder for shits and giggles, he was possessed by a demon! And on top of that, I had to watch Dazai die knowing that we had a way to save him, but that the fucking cowards we were stuck with wouldn't step up and help him!
It sucks that someone you trusted turned out to be a major tool, but don't take that out on me!
no subject
Fuck you, you don't know why he did it! You don't know a goddamn FUCKING thing, Chuuya, you don't know what the reason was!
Someone has to kill people every week, or we all die. So maybe that was his reason, and maybe all these people condemning him for killing someone have no fucking idea what he sacrificed for the rest of them to sleep fucking easy, knowing they didn't have to kill anybody that week!
YOU DON'T FUCKING KNOW!
no subject
You don't know that! For all we know, it could be like at the house when the motives were fake! And what was it that everyone was saying when I killed then? "Oh, how could you believe such an obviously fake motive? I'm going to punch you for being so stupid!" It could be the same setup here!
And if you wanted him to be seen as something other than a fucking coward and a murderer, then maybe you should speak up about it! What did he tell you about it all? What secrets do you know that apparently make him a saint? Because if you really do know something and aren't saying it, then you're the coward, not him!

KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF.
[ chuuya's the smaller of the two so he's easier to collar nudge away, probably. ]
We don't know shit about anything because we keep failing to figure anything out, let's not kid the fuck around here. Fighting about it ain't gonna solve or change shit so take a damn walk, both of you.
no subject
Chuuya does try to shrug himself away from Ash, though.]
Fuck that! Someone needs to knock some sense into her!
no subject
No one's knocking anything into anyone.
Let a woman grieve, you don't get to tell her when to stop even if you don't agree with what went down this weekend. That's not your damn call.
I said take a walk.
no subject
Fuck you! Fuck all of you! I went through the same fucking thing she did, so why does she get special treatment?! Because she's moping instead of trying to actually deal with things?!

I said take a walk, Beau.

well, yin yu and maybe zen are stopping her, so. ]

no subject
so! in his usual yin yu manner, he appears behind her with almost no warning, no presence, and gets a strong arm underneath her punching arm, crossing to her shoulder to pull her back, using his other arm to grab on, too. ]
--Lady Beau. [ it's crisp and sharp, but not nearly as laden with fury; his own emotions radiate back crystal clear and calm, even with the feedback anger on her end. ]

I think it's time we go take a walk, don't you think so? You still haven't modeled for me, you know.
[ she's not acknowledging the other party in this argument right now. ]
no subject
No, I'm not letting this drop! She's wrong, and she's being an ass about it!
no subject
She has a right to think what she wants about Nie Huaisang-san and her choices, just like you do. And Beau-san doesn't strike me as the kind of person who'd deliberately make a choice she regrets.
[ in fact, she thinks Beau is the kind of person who, when backed into a corner, would just dig in even deeper ]
Sometimes, we don't get answers, or reconciliation. All we can do is try to live with what we have.
