Rise and shine, everyone! At 7:00 AM on the dot, those who are asleep will be roused from their slumber by the sound of a bugle call. It seems that breakfast is now served in the Mess Hall. How nice! It's up to you to decide if you want to continue sleeping or not... But maybe it's a good idea to grab a bite and explore your surroundings. After all, it seems the fog has receded enough to reveal a few new locations. Regardless of what you do, be sure to check the weather before stepping outside. You never know when you might need an umbrella! Once you're up and at them, though, there are a few points of interest this week. If you swing by the Director's Office, you will find Winter Wizard manning the receptionist's desk or flitting in and out of the rooms down the hallway. This week's tasks are now available, and you can check them out on the announcement board in the waiting room. Should you visit the Camp Shop, Black Shadows will be handling all transactions at the checkout counter. Even camp directors hold down normal jobs, you know. Strangely enough, Purple Heart doesn't seem to be stationed at any set location. Maybe it's their week off? Oh, well. Seems like if you want to get ahold of them, you'll have to pay your respects to the bunnies. As you explore the camp, however... You may find yourself confronted by scenes from a not so distant past. Or, perhaps, the so-called-movies playing on the big screen are completely foreign to you. But that's not all you will have to deal with this week. Continue skimming the edges of the forest, and you will find yourself going down memory lane. Literally. Speaking of memory lane? Some things are better left in the past. Example: The injuries you acquired during your time in your previous rodeo. Unfortunately for everyone, the past has come back to haunt you in the worst way possible. Upon waking up on Monday morning, everyone will realize they have regained every single injury they obtained in their previous game. Even worse, these injuries will look fresh. Lost body parts will abruptly pop off. Slit throats will reappear. Burns and cuts and scrapes will grace you with their presence once again. The effect will cover all injuries, including those that led to death. But although they may be fatal, and although they may bleed... they will oddly enough not lead to your death. The same cannot be said for any additional shanking that may happen during the week, however. Try not to get yourself murdered? Your new, conditional zombie state is just that: conditional. The only saving grace is that, for those who were killed in their previous games, any injuries, marks or horrors wrought upon their corpses after the fatal blow will not appear on their bodies. Phew. |

Or, well, maybe they're both fighting to gain the romantic attention of Simbo, each trying to impress him with their cooking and baking.
How about it?
[ another skinamajig comes and beats at phoenix's leg. ]

So we have this "Burrito", "Temji", and "Simbo". They are in a love triangle of cooking, baking, and... fighting.
[to Dimitri:] I am being extraordinarily nice. It's this task that's ridiculous, not Phoenix. [HE DEFENDED HIM???]
Ookurikara and Lili are the only romance I'm actively aware of, here. [SINCE POOR FLAYN'S GOT DESTROYED...] ...Perhaps we could model this story off of the two of them, and Ash. They seem a good fit.
no subject
That could work. [ it's fine, they are just immortalizing their love. dimitri would never make fun of his friends on purpose, even if that is functionally what he's doing, i guess. ] So they are trying to make the greatest chocolate cake in an effort to woo their paramour, Simbo?
no subject
How's that?
[ asch and dima are both qts and even if asch was mocking him he doesn't mind ]
no subject
They can... meet in a shop, purchasing ingredients, and square off dramatically in a public display of their affections. Kara-- no, this, Temji person, he's stoic and serious about his intentions, whereas "Burrito" is out of line, and wild. They decide to bring their cakes to Simon together, to personally behold her--his-- love for them.
...Or whatever gender all of these people are.
[he throws an apple from the picnic basket as a skin creature sneaking up on Phoenix, nailing it between its wretched little eyes.]
no subject
[ do you know how long that would take!! he'd accidentally delete everything he's so painstakingly done already... ]
If Simbo is Lili... then I believe his choice would be obvious, no? Or is Ash a better baker than Ookurikara?
[ ic/ooc blurring ]
no subject
[ no he didn't, he said simon! but also.. it's buurito? ]
... Don't think you guys are putting up what I'm picking down, but okay.
[ this is not the threesome phoenix is talking about?? ]
They're equally good chefs and cooks... both passionate, when it comes to the kitchen. Their personalities.... are the key ingredient, here.
no subject
How's this? "Lili--Simon was flustered by the variety of sumptuous cakes brought before her--them--whomever they choose to be--and blushed, from how moved they were."
[NOT A NOVELIST]
no subject
[ a skinamajig is attacking his head. he misclicks and grimaces. he is trying so hard. ]
Phoenix, what are their personalities like?
[ please direct them to the correct threesome i hate this ]
no subject
Buurito is loud and bombastic -- vain, mean, but has a not-so-secret sweet spot for Simbo -- who is gentle but strong. Tunji is vulgar and violent, but also sweet -- when it comes to the man they're competing for, their hearts melt like the chocolate they're cooking up.
[ there we go. ]
Simbo does indeed fluster when he sees the variety of sumptuous cakes -- the smell of chocolate and confectionery wafting through the air, mixed with something else.
You see, the two bakers had a different special ingredient based on a previous memory with Simbo -- special moments, they'd shared in the past.
no subject
he one-handedly fastpitches a skinamajig out of the kitchen, and into the messhall proper.]
What is the air mixed with? Oh, I know--fire. From their burning hearts of passion.
[oh, it's ingredients.]
Special moments? Hmph. Something like... cinnamon, or apples, or something? Seasalt and dark chocolate go well together, too...
no subject
All right, Phoenix is painting quite a clear picture of these three now... Asch, you must inject more... drama into your verbage. This is meant to be graphic! Provide more description.
no subject
[ two skinamajigs are batting at phoenix's poor leggies now, save him. ]
Exactly. Cinnamon -- the spice that reminded Simbo of their first meeting, when they banter turned to flirting -- sea salt, when Tunji and Simbo were by the beach, sharing sea salty kisses as they let the waves roll over them, and apples.....
For when Buurito wore apple bottom jeans.
[ wow what dramatic scenery ]
no subject
Right. So, these two, uh... seaside... lovers. Simbo and Tonji. As soon as Simbo eats a piece of his chocolate cake, he's overwhelmed with emotions, a reflection of their--their tumultuous past together, and yet, how much his heart yearns to be with him, despite all of it. The spice warms his heart, and the salt intermingles with his, uh, tears? Which he is crying now.
[...]
From the emotion.
[.........]
Oh, and Burito has a nice apple cake. Chocolate apple, I mean. Which Simbo also eats. [HE'S STRUGGLING SOMEONE PICK THIS UP.]
no subject
Wait, is it sea salt, or salt from tears? What are apple bottom jeans? Phoenix, is chocolate apple even a feasible combination?
[ why is he having to QA this??? ]
And who wins Simbo's heart with their cake?
no subject
Both sea salt.... and happy tears. The flavor comes from both. The chef's true weapon of romance.... moving their patrons to tears through food. Apple bottom jeans are a true weapon of romance -- I'll explain in a bit, Dimitri, but they're important. trust me. A talented chef can make any combination work.
Hm..... what do you think on the steaming romance, you two? Maybe to be continued? Or do you have one of the suitors in mind?
no subject
It's clearly Tonji. I haven't a clue what importance lies in "apple-bottomed genes", but it doesn't matter. This Burrito character has no chance.
In any case, I think it's fine where it is. Don't people love suspense? They'll desire more, if we don't tell them what happens next. Perhaps something tragic can happen before Simba makes their final choice, and the conclusion is delayed for several chapters yet by fluff and nonsense.
Dimitri? What do you think?
